@ Glassea, I like groups better two (at least between 3 and 5 people, more than that and it gets confusing). Especially when the story requires a number of different characters, it's so much better to have several people contributing. But the coordination can get so difficult.

I have a few, like allowing characters that aren't played to turn into NPCs or be reallocated to another player. Or somehow allowing people, when they're stressed, to go really basic with their responses (two line responses that might be expanded on later) so at least everyone else can get on with things? Having a limit for the players with how many roleplays they're allowed to have before they join yours?

What are your ideas for making a roleplay last longer?

Personally that means no group role plays, which is fine with me. I don't like groups anyway.
However I think if people stopped with the whole making the character for their roleplayers would help some, since then you don't get stuck playing a character that seemed fun at first but proves not your cup of tea. Doing a small background check on them might not be a bad idea- do they post consistently or not? So they have 50 others or only 2?
Spend less time on forms. The two role plays I've set up lasted 20 pages compared to most people's 2 and I contribute it to the fact I didnt do forms at all. You just said you were joining and how many characters and we were off. People get bored making forms and waiting for others

I'm super happy about one that I'm
in. I made it five years ago, back
when FooPets had role-playing, in
case any of you know about that.

Anyway, five or six years ago, right?
Well, when they deleted it, I made
a website and moved it there, told
everyone involved, and boom! There
we were, playing it out. It lasted,
mm.. I want to say a year with all
four of us, then it was three, now,
five or six years later, and I'm still
on it with one of my friends. :3

We killed the other people's characters
in a tragic way that totally affected
one of my characters because if was
his family and all. So now we just both
have five characters, and we just post
really long paragraphs per character.
xD It's the best. It's so fun to do, and
when we look back at what we were
role-playing like five/six years ago
when I first move it, we just pick on
each other.

Oh my gosh. I remember FooPets as well! That's where I first started roleplaying! I was crushed when they deleted the roleplaying forum, but a bunch of my friends just moved to cs. Sadly, I only kept in contact with one of them when there were about 6 of us previously. We're always making fun of how badly we roleplayed before since it was those really common, but really bad one lined posts you always saw on foopets. You would put your characters name then a dash and when rping the actions you would put ** around it to bold it. Those were fond memories for me. >_<

Hey, would anybody be interested in a roleplay where we have deformed children /teenagers that have been hunted down by the government. They are forced to hide underground and withdrawal from society, fearing for their life as illegals.
I stole the plot from this roleplay I was in awhile back.

My writing has really been making me happy lately.

That said I really need a small group that would do a dragon x rider thing with me. No one would be allowed to rp their own Dragon mount and they'd be linked mentally. It's probably gonna be a four spot or less thing and kind of apocalyptic, I'm thinking..

Any interest?

I took a shower and the ideas came BUSTLING in. Anyhow, it would be four people, unless I magically get more interest, but each person would be responsible for both a dragon AND a human. The dragon to human connections would be predetermined and the "ideologies" of each dragon as well as color (i don't want an excess amount of black and white dragons).

There would be a black, gold, white and silver/blue dragon. The first two would be dragons that want nothing to do with humans and try to convince their human counter-parts likewise. The last two would be more.. heroic. So, in essence, this would become a simply warring RP. I know they never get much interest.. but I really want this to happen. xD

I assumed the four humans involved would be friends/lovers/acquaintances before the RP starts that way we wouldn't have to go through the awkward "meeting" phase.

ANYHOW. Each dragon's ideologies -
Black;; All about death.
Gold;; Greedy. Doesn't care if things die in the process, just wants pretty things and will do ANYTHING to get them.
White;; Purity. Loves children due to their innocence. (human counter-part would probably be the youngest of the group.) Savior and protector of humans and their.. stuff.
Silver/Green;; This would be mine and it would probably be green for they're the savior of nature.

Those are just simple outlines I'd like, but their personalities in general are all up to the RPer. I don't care if the black dragon is a jokester that has.. dementia. So long as he has streaks of death, etc., etc.

ORRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

I could just preset the "dragon one is with female three" and "dragon four is with male one" and let everyone go on a free-for-all with personalities. You'd only have to reserve the color dragon you'd want and gender human. xD

I keep getting so many conflicting ideas in my head. I believe if people like the second idea more, I'd make the plot about dragons attacking and the four dragons our characters have are on a quest to find a magical.. something that would save man-kind.. Perhaps they're seeking out the ancient dragons that have been "mummified" and they need their dragon companions to save them. I JUST NEED A DRAGON RP, GUISE. >:[[/list]
