Just dropping in with a few quick reminders/rule changes:
- I noticed someone offsite mentioned wanting to edit their MYO vaiki so I thought I should say this here: revamping/cleaning up MYOs and customs is allowed as long as you get permission from me. You can also ask me to clean up edits/designs if you like, but it may take a while depending how busy I am.

- I've removed the rule that any banned member's vaikis will be readopted. I just don't like the idea of taking away someone's characters ;v; This has been changed to allow banned members to keep any vaikis they received before the ban, they just won't be able to get any more. I'll only revoke vaikis if they were unfairly obtained (sold/stolen/etc.).

- As some of you may have noticed, there is an event in the works. It'll have a beach theme, feel free to post any suggestions for it! That can include adopts, prompts, or other ideas ^^

- Finally, once the event is over, vaikis will be on an indefinite hiatus. I haven't had a lot of time or motivation to run them with the small amount of interest they've been getting lately, and I feel like it's better to give everyone a break instead of running at the snail's pace we have been :'>

Hi everyone.
Some of you might now me, some of you might not but I'm back from my year long hiatus.
I just wanted to stop in and say hi to the vaiki community as it's been a long time. Though I've been following Ege on deviantart, so I didn't completely leave. I currently own three vaiki's named Blumiere, Gabriel, and Castiel; If it's alright with Ege I would love to keep them as I still consider them as my furry babies ;v; I still drawing them, but mostly on paper.

I just wanted to say that in short I'm not dead and I would love to stay in the community.

Hello everyone!

I wanted to wait until the event was over to bring it up, so here we go: I have decided to close vaikis on CS. I don't spend as much time on CS as I used to, and I feel like they don't have enough interest here anymore for me to stay on CS just for the species.

I'm considering moving the species to deviantart, but I don't want to do that if there won't be enough people interested, or if the community is very against it. If we do move, I'll have rules in place to ensure there will be plenty of free adopts (at least 1 for each sale vaiki?). I don't want to make vaikis all about the profit just because I'm moving them. Just that it'll be easier for me and the rest of the staff to not be limited by oekaki, and it'll be easier for me to find more artists as well. Vaikis do already have a DA group for posting art and such!

If you have an opinion on this please feel free to post your thoughts, and/or vote in the poll! Nothing is going to change overnight and you'll still be allowed to keep your vaikis if you don't want to/can't follow the species offsite (or if they close entirely). There just won't be any new vaikis on CS.

When you're suggesting things just keep in mind I'm not looking to do any of these:
- Keep them open on CS: like I said, I don't spend as much time on CS anymore and they aren't doing well here.
- Make them an open species: this would be unfair to people who've worked hard for the vaikis they have.
- Hand them off to someone else to run: I love vaikis a lot and I can't give them up, I'd rather close them if it came down to it.

It really upsets me to hear all this, I love these guys and I'm not on DA so I wouldn't be able to move if they did. That being said iId hate for these guys to just close or die off, I love All my Vaiki's so much and yes I may not have as much art an they all may not have much info on them but I love them and I'm hoping to get at least one or two more to complete my vaiki family. If I could suggest anything maybe get a co-owner to help run them, someone who knows the species well and has been here for a while or something. Some one who can fill in for you when you may not be able too, like for example making sure the artist met there adopt quota's, helping run/plan events just making sure things stay active and functioning smoothly, etc. So I know it may sound selfish but I just don't want to lose these guys but if they have to end then that's your discussion to do so...
