Welcome new members <3 Fun lil question for you guys because I'm nosey- whats the last book you purchased?

My most recent purchase was like 4 at once; Red White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston (which was SO good and sweet and funny, 5 stars), The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco, Elantris by Brandon Sanderson and The Emperor's Blades by Brian Staveley.

i have red white and royal blue on my tbr! as for last book i purchased, i think it would be the tenth-anniversary edition of hold still by nina lacour! she's my favorite author and earlier this year she had a signing tour and i went to her stop in new york city. when i was there i bought the tenth-anniversary edition and got to meet her and she signed my books and it was just incredible! one of the greatest days of my life <3 i don't really buy books often b/c i prefer to get them from the library and then buy them if i really like them, but i was more than happy to purchase this particular book lol

I've been reading Mansfield Park. I think it's gonna be my favorite Austen novel. I'm really enjoying it. I just wish I could read more often b/c I have two Taylor Jenkins Reid book out from the library and I want to get to them before they have to go back.

The last book I bought was probably.... no clue.Oh wait! Badass Braids: 45 Maverick braids from Game of Thrones, Vikings and more by Shannon Burns. Actually highly recommend <3.

My library is too small and also a not for profit organization so it's not a part of any national library board. There's not a huge selection and the book sales they put on get a better selection, sometimes, if the resellers don't pick up anything worth reading.

I read most of my books from the library nowadays (check out the app LIbby if you live in the US, you can use it to get ebooks and audiobooks from your library) and also have a harder time justifying buying physical books. I've found a good compromise is buying almost exclusively from second hand stores (unfortunately we only have one in my area ;_;) and pre-owned from Amazon. Though I have no hesitation on preordering books for full price if its from an author/series I adore.
