My friend had been told that because she don't shower all of her characters with art that she doesn't love them all and that she don't deserve to keep them. So, do you believe that a user has to shower all of their characters with art in order for them to love them all?
NOOOOOOO. As a story writer, I usually have stories for my characters. If you had to shower your characters in art to prove that you "love them" then all movie directors, writers and radio shows must not love the characters they created. :3
@Emris Aww, cutie! I love the cheek area!
@doetails I always loved how unique your art style is!
@Everan Good luck selling him! I know there is a certain user who's been looking to get his hands on him. c;
@-Cole Stargazer Good luck with those mako sales! And those kias are noice!
@Angelshy Oh my, I'm so happy Cola has his own little ship now! They are very cute together. ouo
@Steamrunner Nice art! Its always nice to see new art styles around!
How do you come up with names for your characters? Do you use a name generator? Choose it based on the design? Choose a random one that you like?
Randomly; it has to pop up in my head and I'll use it. Alternatively, it was a name from the previous owner.
I bought a character from a user with points and later down the road (3-4 months) went to re-sell it for much cheaper than i bought it. BUT i got contacted by the original artist (whom i couldn't track down/the user i bought it from didn't tell me) and got told that they are taking the character back because they have a strict "no re-sale" policy. Now, i've contacted the person i bought it from and they refuse to give me any sort of refund. And i've contacted the artist and explained the situation and they have agreed that what the user did was wrong, but that they are in no way inclined to give me the character or any kind of compensation for my loss of points. I honestly don't know what to do because it means i've pretty much just thrown those points away... so can i get some help please?
Did the artist link you to their character adopts policy? If they don't have a list of written rules, then they actually have no legal proof that that rule ever existed and they cannot take back your character. Also, my pet peeve with this rule is that artist only do it when they deem "the character is moving around too much" and they take it back. This my be my opinion, but it seems pretty scammy because they are also taking all of the art that comes with the character, and then they usually go back and resell it.
Anywho, I hope you get it all sorted out!
How often do you get art of your characters?
Very often; its what I love doing most of the time! Usually, I'm the one who makes it though.
Do you think that interacting with your character perhaps through roleplaying or drawing them etc. will create a better bond?
Yeah! I would personally love to roleplay mine but the rps either die too quickly or I'm not motivated to do them.
Do you think that it is important that a character is HQ?
No, never. HQ (high quality) is so opinionated. A majority knows it just means "good art" and only on the CAAA do I actually see it mean "good design". I couple months ago I saw this person selling this character for 100$. It was a white wolf with brown ears, I kid you not. All because of one "high quality piece from a famous artist", so therefore, that character is high quality.
Do you prefer to create your own characters?
Yeah, I do. I could probably take all of the characters I currently have, revamp them and make them better and still be happy with myself. ((I'll be honest, the only reason why I have some characters is because of how famous they are. It's easier to resell them if need be))
Art dump!
