For Brewster to be unlocked, you have to have donated at least one type of each thing in the museum. So one fish, one bug, one fossil, and one artwork. I heard you also have to donate one deep sea creature as well, but I can't find any confirmation on that. So what they probably mean is they're waiting for Redd to show up so they can donate their first piece of artwork.

Yes, but what OP was saying is he hasn't shown up for them at all yet, despite donating the 60 things to the museum to make him appear.

Actually they removed that storybit for some reason. The museum upgrades to have the art gallery, there is no inbetween upgrade. Redd no longer wanders the town on his first visit either, he just appears on the boat. Realized that when I started my 2nd island over.

Anyone know if there is a way to get more than one NPC photo in HHP DLC? Or do I have to make a new character and advance the story to get a extra photo?

Side note: but I wish there was a way to shovel or melt snow. My main island is going to look awful in winter since it has so much nature decor. It’s not really worth redecorating for one season. ;_;

Wow, I can't believe my luck! I've managed to get a star island twice so far with Kapp'n.
In other news, my dad's going to let me get an eShop gift card for my stocking so I can buy the DLC! Tried to talk him into letting me get it early but it didn't work, RIP.

I've been playing New Horizons for like two years now and I think I've maybe seen Redd like, 3 times?? And one of the times ALL the artwork he was offering was fake. (sobs)

Nah, you don’t have to worry about that. it’s programmed to where every npc shows up at least once every two weeks. Just be sure to just log in everyday long enough to at least check if he’s there or not.

If you don’t want to wait for him to appear though, I “might” have an extra real painting you can have if you’d like me to check. (I keep a lot of fakes onhand for deco so I can’t remember if I have a repeat real or not)
