Have you ever bought something with irl money on pokemon go?
If yes what, and why?

I haven't . I get my pokecoins from my gyms.

I have. I bought more Pokeballs for like, 70p (British currency). Only because there was a Vulpix in my bedroom and it's a Pokemon I was really dying to get. I didn't have any Pokeballs left and the nearest Pokestop was a good 15-20 minutes walk away. This was a couple of weeks into the game if not less and I've still only seen one other Vulpix since so I don't regret it or anything

I always thought buying Pokeballs would be a waste of money but I totally get why you would in that scenario. In the Netherlands Vulpix is also rare. I've only ever gotten one from an egg.

Growlithe is also pretty rare here, which is a shame because I'd love to have an Arcanine. One time I was using a Pokemon map and I saw that there was a Growlithe some distance from my house in a nature area and it had like 8 minutes or so left. I bolted out of the house and on my way there was a family (father, three sons) walking their two dogs. They all had Pokemon Go open and they were wondering why some chick in the forest was in a hurry so I quickly explained there was a Growlithe down by the river. That's how I found myself running through a forest with a strange family off to catch a virtual monster... I still see those kids in the neighbourhood sometimes so I direct them to all the good Pokemon.

i caught a 700cp+ dewgong yesterday and i also got another 10k egg!
i've decided to buy 8 incubators so all of my eggs should hatch at once, and luckily i still have two lucky eggs left. =]

Yesterday I saw a CP 10 Weedle as third defender at a gym, but meanwhile the top defender was a CP 2200 Arcanine. It was bizarre, to say the least.
