Sorry for my long posts! I just know that not everyone here has the time to go through countless reddit posts and articles to stay up-to-date on all the useful info, so I want to be somewhat helpful. c:Tigerflame5 wrote:I found another goldeen today at the same spot, and it was 413 cp. I don't if it's a spawn of if 2 goldeens spawned at the same place by coincidence. Also, that appraise thing is weird
The appraise thing
is a really odd thing to add to the game while we still don't have a working tracker, especially considering that it serves a purpose for only a minority of players. Just for the sake of those of you who might be confused about how the appraise feature should be used (and if it needs to be used at all):
The outcome of the appraise feature is determined by the IVs of your Pokemon. In the main games, every individual Pokemon gets a hidden bonus of up to 31 stat points for each of the 6 stats (attack, defense, special attack, special defense, speed, and health). A Pokemon with 31 points awarded to each stat has "perfect IVs". These are quite rare, but through breeding tactics and luck it is possible to get Pokemon with consistently high IVs. These stats are not visible to the player, but by visiting a special NPC you can determine if the Pokemon has any perfect stats and specifically which stats have a perfect IV score.
Individual Pokemon in Pokemon Go also have IVs, although they only have three stats which can be awarded up to 15 bonus points: health, speed (stamina), and attack. The appraise feature is Pokemon Go's version of the Stats Checker NPC in the main series games. Through deciphering the dialogue you can determine if your Pokemon has any perfect IVs, and which those are.
Having perfect IVs is all nice and fine, however in Pokemon Go they do not make much of a difference to the CP and overall usefulness of your Pokemon and so serve only as a slight edge and bragging rights. If you want to understand what the dialogue of the appraisal feature really means, go here: https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemongo/comm ... okemon_iv/
True power in Pokemon Go comes from having the right species with the right move set. If you have two Dragonites which are maxed out and owned by trainers of the same level where one Dragonite has perfect IVs but a poor move set while the other Dragonite has poor IVs and a perfect move set, the perfect move set Dragonite will always be the more powerful Pokemon. On top of this, assuming each Pokemon is maxed at the same trainer level, a Dragonite with a poor move set will still easily destroy a Raticate with a perfect move set.

so i guess i have a mystic and valor account now.
Multi accounting can earn you a ban.. just an fyi

To add to that fyi, Niantic
can see if you are multi-accounting because they can detect which individual phones are being used with which individual accounts. I k now of some people that are not aware of this. I don't know if multi-accounters are being banned yet, but it likely will happen. Stay safe! If you feel attached to your Pokemon, don't take any risks.

Originally my home was a jynx nest but when they updating nests it became a scyther nest. But yesterday coming home from work it was full of jynx again? T_T
Nests tend to switch out between two Pokemon species now and then. This is a pretty consistent observation made by players around the world. I know a park near my city that has a Jynx nest where around 5 minutes after a Jynx batch spawns, a Scyther spawns not too far off. I also have a local park that switches between a Magmar nest and an Electabuzz nest! I'm jelly you have Scythers spawn near your house. D:
