This may have already been talked about, but what's all of your opinions on the last episodes of Season 5? When Sunset Shimmer comes back?

First of all, I'm pretty sure you meant Starlight Glimmer. It's okay though, they have pretty similar names. Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer.

Anyways, I thought the idea of bringing back time travel was great. Also, seeing what it would be like when Nightmare Moon, Chrysalis, etc., ruled instead of Celestia and Luna was an interesting thing to see.
The big war at the start with Sombra really got my attention because there's so much fan-fiction and art that makes it happen. Rainbow Dash and her mechanic wing, Pinkamena Diane Pie and Maud working together, Fluttershy having to sheer the sheep, Rarity having to make clothes she doesn't like and Apple Jack having to make canned apples.

It wasn't something you, or at least I, would expect to see in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.

As for the other turn outs of Rainbow Dash getting her cutiemark, I loved them all. I just wanted to talk about the Sombra War first because I have a lot of thoughts on how it was, as you can see.

Whoops, sorry...I do mean Starlight Glimmer.. I watched Equestria Girls: Friendship Games yesterday.

I was mostly meaning the ending, where the Mane 6 pretty much accept Starlight Glimmer as a friend-just like they did to Sunset Shimmer, hence my confusion.
Did the ending bother anyone else?

Well, it kinda bothered me a little, but it makes room for a new villain/antagonist. They accepted Discord as a friend too. Like Sunset Shimmer, she might become relevant later.

It bothered me. Why was she accepted so quickly? It took Discord 2 seasons to get accepted but Starlight Glimmer just has to sing a song about how great friendship is and she's forgiven? And also I really don't like her and her motives were weak. She wasn't entertaining to watch (IMO) and she did horrible things. I understand they can't send her to Tartarus but they could do something else right? Like community service or something. Sorry for the rant, this just made me really mad.

Discord still isn't entirely accepted, they still shun him a little, but it doesn't seem to be the case with Starlight. That could just be because there haven't been any episodes focusing on her and the Mane 6 as friends.

The thing that really bothered me was that Starlight Glimmer and Sunset Shimmer-and Discord!- pretty much ended up the same way.... That particular reused plot is bothering me...

Im here! Im alive! No one murdered me... ( accept for my teachers, exams, and parents) So... Guess I have a lot of reading to do. But, while im here... ( Spoilers)
The finale... Well... I liked the concept of time travel but i dont like how it was portrayed. It was portrayed... differently.. Different is fine but, confusing considering in almost any work featuring time travel that ive ever watched or read it was portrayed like this: Sally went back in time to stop Mark from changing it. She and Mark would always fight and mark would prevail. Every time Sally went back there would be one more set of Mark and Herself fighting. You see what i mean? Mlp.. It was like Starlight had never stopped the rainboom and the old past had reset itself. If it can reset itself, then why did the episode even happen? Also the Twi and Star battle scenes. Starlight used the map to go back in time not to help her stop twilight. Why should she have all this power even after leaving time alone? Theres no way Starlight can learn how to defeat an alicorn princess without aid in a matter of...months maybe? Lastly her backstory. Her friend was taken away from her because he was magically gifted. LOOK AT STARLIGHT! LOOK AT STARLIGHT AND THEN LOOK AT HER FRIEND! NOW TELL ME WHO'S MORE POWERFUL? WHOS MAGICALLY GIFTED? HER OR HER FRIEND? Just...fail.. I thought it would have been better if I dont know... Starlight was seperated from everyone she loved because of cutie marks. What if her own family had a special talent that she was discrased for not having? Like.... Bakers? and they moved from all of stars friends to start a buisness. What if she wasnt allowed to have fun or maybe even got abused because she didn't contribute to the business? Sure something better than baking.. but you get the point. She ran away and vowed to separate the world from what separated her and her happiness. Cutie Marks. Starlight discovers her talent, learns spells, blah blah blah, until the season opener. Stars redemption was a little rushed but... Happy endings and Rainbows right? But seriously. I would maybe believe it more if in future episodes she slips up and has a hard time fitting in.
