Poor Bug and Baze, they look so betrayed!

All I have given them today is some fruits and veggies, for breakfast and dinner. I don't think they could live on a vegetarian diet for very long, I'll have to give them some meat and something else later so they don't get mad at me lol

Is it safe for rats to eat violets, lilacs and crabapples/crabapple tree leaves? Are there any plants that commonly grow in north-eastern US that I should avoid giving to them?
like... what is and isn't safe to just pluck out of my lawn and hand to them?

I wouldn't give them anything out of your yard. There could be chemicals or something that isn't safe for them.

If you know your yard isnt sprayed for ANYTHING, then dandelion leaves, clover leaves, ribwort plantain leavess, etc are safe for them to eat.

Had a bit of a fight tonight, Bug really wanted the corn that was Baze's. Of course Baze wouldn't just give it up, so I had to take the meat Bug wasn't going to eat and give it to Baze so that he would let Bug have the corn.

I swear they are the pickiest little guys I have ever met! Baze doesn't like veggies much, and Bug isn't a big meat eater. Little monsters lol

Have you ever had a rat?: I have one currently. She's a brown hooded ratty who really loves to run on her wheel while i'm trying to sleep. XD But I love her muchly & She's my first rat. But sadly I don't think I'll be getting another one once she passes (she's 1 year old)
