Well thats just cruel!! So do i have to braid clancey's mane and tail? I know i have to put make up on him and stuff, but i really just wanna win so any little tips will help! :)

Yeah, it's horse make up XD. Only because the class i'm entering is all about the horses appearance. I find horse make up stupid, but hey.

As last minute touch-ups I think you can use white chalk on any white markings to cover up any spots that got a bit dirty or anything.

I've never been in a halter class or been to watch one, but if the norm in your area is braided mane and tail, or braided mane, or etc, then you should probably do that. And maybe practice before, too. You could braid the night before and put one of those horse slinky hoods on him and take it off after you get to the show grounds in the morning. Make sure his whiskers are all trimmed and the hair inside the ears is cleaned up, too.

Oh! I have another idea. You could maybe find videos (youtube, website of the place that's hosting competition) of the kind of halter class you're entering, maybe an australian one, just to see what will happen and who placed best and what they looked like.
