isn't pendulum summoning pretty cheap because you can just resummon all your monsters from your extra deck (and put them in defense mode??)

This thread makes me want to repair my Yuya cosplay so I can duel my Jaden cosplayer friend in character.

Building Blue Eyes is really only super duper expensive because of ghost girl hand traps and Blue Eyes Alternative Dragon (which is running about 21-26 bucks a piece?) A really nice Blue-Eyes deck will run you about 300 bucks if you're buying singles for everything. 400 if you're going for meta and even then it's not really the best choice for meta right now.

Personally the only card I've ever really splurged on was Crystal Bond which I paid 25 for. And even then my Crystal Beast deck is pretty terrible.

They tried to fix this by implementing Links (which are terrible.) They also make pendulum monsters when you set the scale take up two spaces on your spell/trap zone which is what should've been done in the beginning which I say as someone who plays and loves pendulums.

And you can't pull any Synchros/Xyz/Fusion/etc etc.

Or I'm just too invested. I play at my local card shop when I can but my budget's taking a hit so I'm gonna cut back. I was gonna go to a regional tournament but I got work.
