Hello, I am __.Nightingale;__ and I admit to being an Art Addict!

I have an art shop, click the link in my signature. I also have a DA: ADropOfFantasy, but I'll need to add all of my pictures on it. I mainly sketch in realistic and it usually takes me 16+ hours for one work of art without interruption. o.o

Thank you so much for accepting me! c:

It really does, but I love doing art for people unless they're rude about it >.> But luckly, I haven't had many mean people ask or demand art from me. It does bother me though when people keep asking when I'll be finished with their peice when I have like ... two orders before theirs. I can usually multi task but I like focusing on one peice until the end. Usually it's sixteen hours for the initial sketch, then I redraw it, add shading, re draw it, fill it in and add shading with outlining then do the fur over it. All in all it is a fourty six hour process.

Your welcome! C:

That is a small pet peeve of mine. If there are orders before yours still not done, you can guess that it will be a while until yours is finished. I guess most people just don't have common sense. -.-
(Unless they need the art done by a certain date, or are politely asking, it's not a problem though.)
I never spend more than 3 hours on my art. I'm thinking that my art could be much better if I spent more time on it, but when I try it just ends up getting worse and worse the more time I spend. I hope your commissioners take into consideration the effort you put into your art!

I absolutely adore your signature <3

Most of the time, the people with the deadline don't mind waiting a bit, it's the ones that don't have the deadline sometimes that bother me about their art being done. I tend to prioritize my art. I understand completely, that happened to me for a long while until I was having an art argument with a few great friends of mine and just started sketching while listening to AFI's kiss and control and just having a blast then realizing I had sketched for about ten hours straight, had a horrid hand cramp and was hungry, I just got used to it. x3
I don't like it when people decide they can take their art and be all like "Well you should take my style and blah... etc... stoppedcaring..." and just continue on and on about how "their style is better than yours". No. Everyone has their own style and their own strong points. -.- I've had about fifteen people tell me I need to work on my realism because I tend to stick to animals and fabled species rather than humans Bl

Thank you! C:
The art is of my precious Maraschino Cherry (a jellybean dragon) by Nikalla.

People have really told you that? People who can draw humans are indeed talented, but fabled species and other art shows imagination, which is very important to me. Imagination is equivalent to having talent in my point of view.

It's interesting you say that you redraw your sketches Nightingale. I usually just start something and if I like where it's going I will finish it. I usually can't redraw something twice. How do you do that? (Seriously I'm quite interested)
I also disagree with what those 15 people have told you. You should draw what you enjoy drawing, but it's nice to fit something new in there once in awhile.
I've never seen someone or experianced anyone telling me or anyone else their style is better or the draw better than them/me, but I can usually tell if they're thinking it. I refuse to believe it though, everyone has a unique style and I love looking at other people's drawings! It's inspiring and it's good to see things through another person's eyes.

Sorry for butting in... *Slinks off*

I've always wanted a jellybean dragon but I can't do art on the computer and can't pay for it just yet. x3

Hello, Gone! No no, stay, you're perfectly fine. *laughs* I honestly don't know how I manage to do it o.o If it is done with the intention of doing it the exact same way, I am not able to do so for some reason. I usually listen to one song while I sketch the first sketch and when redrawing and recreating the sketch, I just listen to the same songs again. I attempt to draw pretty much everything I possibly can, I just prefer furry creatures and fabled creatures ^^

*Has drawn over fifty sketches of the same thing for a friend of mine* Drawing the fifty sketches I mentioned before hand *points to other astricised post* took about three weeks without sleeping and crashing in between drawings. Never doing that again... xD I was way too hungry after the first five.

So many people have told me that it's not even funny -_- But oh well, "flint tongues and icy word chip and melt away when met with the heat and harshness of life", my Grandfather always said in Spanish to me. I was considering tell them to go try what I draw for a change so that they could see that my side is just as challenging as their own side. Each subject of drawing is just as hard as the others so it shouldn't be a game of judgement. I agree with your last two points about creativity, London.

It amazes me how you can draw for so long without stopping! I'd run of of things to shade and colour then end up trying to add things that ruin the finished product and chuck it out xD How big do you draw your pictures and do you add backgrounds, etc?

On another note:
I used to restrict myself when it came to drawing for other people, I used to say: here's what I can and here;s what I can't.
Now I take request from friends relying on them to give me a new challenge. It's really helped me grow and take risks.
