Wow, it sounds like most of us are tuned into the Egyptian gods lately, though I've always been close to them myself. ^^;

The two gods I've been rather close to as of late, though, are Thoth and Horus. I'm trying to see why though, since I can't exactly put my finger particularly on why.

Does anyone know a better way to understand why I seem to be close to them? I know some Egyptian myths and about these two gods themselves, but other than research, what are other ways to "get closer" or to see why I'm so particularly close to them at this time? If anyone has any ideas or can give me a direction, I'd be glad to hear the advice. :)

As far which gods and goddess' I have been drawn to.. I had to think on it for a bit, I have called on some of the greek/roman pantheon before but only for very specific things that I knew correlated to the specific god/goddess. I would mostly call on the elements themselves and I used to call on the moon itself, I just haven't felt the need to in a while.

@SSQM
As for the leaning toward the Egyptian pantheon, it may have to do with terrain as much as the dieties themselves. If you have an affinity toward arid places, sand, sun, and rivers as well as being artistic in nature, the world of the Egyptian gods would fit you well.

Hi...Uhh, just wanted to say hi 'cause it's been forever since I posted at all...I wanted to say that I finally got a pentacle necklace like I've been wanted for practically forever, as well as an atheme, for this last yule. Just a question, but anyone have plans for Ostara? I can't think of anything besides my normal candle and incense burning/meditation...
Hi, I'm Willowkit17, feel free to call me Willow, or Crow...I prefer Crow.

Of the distance that took you away"

Ostara is march 20th this year (right ?)
Well considering the fact that I prefer to celebrate with other people, and also amazingly enough, my parents have also shown a bit of interest in Wicca [in fact they took part in the yule ritual I had back in December witch was very cool] I think I will be putting together a ritual for Ostara that they can take part in as well

I highly encourage inviting your family to a ritual if they are completely open to it, it could be a great experience to share this with them. My parents are Christian, go to church on Sundays and all but recently came came up to me and talked about if there was another celebration ritual, if I would include them in the ritual.... wow......

@Willowkit17 There are different crafts I have heard of (like things you can create) in honor of the day, but I am interested as well with what other people are doing other than a normal ritual....

Hi... I'm a Kemetic (Egyptian) Pagan with a lot of Wiccan influences, such as I celebrate many of the same holidays and believe in similar things... I don't do many spells, but I do follow some Wiccan traditions. Is it okay if I join the discussion?

Certainly! I used to be Wiccan, and I still pull from some of the practices, but these days I'm just a general pagan with Hedgecraft leanings (if that makes sense)

You'll find a lot of Wiccans here, but there's all sorts of paths here. You'll find people who follow lots of different traditions.

I just got some runes (Elder Futhark of course). They are clear crystal quarts. I can't wait to get them!!

Here they are:

On another note, I need to do some reading up on runes so I know how to use them properly.
