I must ask a quick question. Why do some people add random U's to characters names? This has always confused me

its due to the japanese spelling vs the english translation spelling
or just people picking the name with the u and using it so much that it becomes the norm to write it that way, it becomes kind of like a habit

Yeah, it's about the Romaji. The macron (the line over the letter) is more complicated to type but denotes the same thing (long vowel sounds), so extra letters are used instead because they're simpler.

So Amami Rantarō becomes Amami Rantarou. Both are correct. Saihara Shūichi becomes Saihara Shuuichi. Etc

Liking V3-6 is kind of an unpopular opinion, but some of my favorite lines from the series come from it.

"My life is the strongest weapon I've got, so I'll use it to end the killing game!" is such a good line

"I reject that hope" is a fine quote and all, but within the context that it's said, and the character that it's said by,,,,, just *chef's kiss* emotionally devastating

and, "I may be fictional, but the pain I feel when I see my friends die is real!"

and, "I'm gonna be pissed if there isn't a happy ending" is also one that I really like fshfbfbf

I also appreciate all the meta-jokes. "isn't it so cool how it looks like a letter but it's actually a number?" and "(character) is my waifu" and "(character) should've lived instead, she was way better than (living character)"

I feel like not a lot of people love 2-6 either. Some people thought it was underwhelming, I guess, and I agree that it could've been done better to maximise the impact, but I still think the concept outweighs whatever minor issues the execution (no pun intended) had.

2-5 is completely perfect in pretty much every way, and I will maintain that statement until the end of time

I wouldn't exactly say that 3-6 is unpopular? Controversial, definitely. Love it or hate it, everyone seems to have a strong opinion. Some people also need some time to warm up to it or figure out what the heck is going on lol. Personally, it's my favourite finale. I love watching let's plays and 3-6 has the highest rewatch value for me. It's not without it's flaws, but I really love the concept which is what really makes it for me. As Chihiro said, I also think it has a ton of great lines. "i wanna break Shuichi's fingers <3"
