i only skimmed through the article so forgive me if i missed something important but i think it's kind of silly to say anime is going to die off just because one person thinks so. yes it's inevitable that the anime industry is going to fail at some point but going as far as saying it's definitely going to fall in 5-20 years is incredibly bogus i'm sorry
of course, things that go up always come down which is really cheesy to say but even if it does happen i doubt anime is going to disappear entirely

Wow, I just had to laugh so much when I read that it was Hideaki Anno who said that , sorry but I just can't take him too seriously after what I read about him and watching Nadia and some Evangelion. He mainly says japanese anime will suffer, because other countries will start to do their own things by the way. Pretty much all old german children animes were produced in Japan, but lately they do a lot 3D (some good some bad) and I guess those are not japanese, but I'm not sure so yes other countries start to do their own animation, but also since there is a lot more demand for animation now. Anno says it's important to try out new things, well Oblivion is a very good example for that and besides that japanese games and animes are still going well and I doubt they will just die out, at least not just like that. Well and as I said, I don't believe in Anno that much...

Im still disappointed that 2d animated movies died out in America tbh.
Well at least the ones that make it to the theaters anyways. Movies for cartoons like adventure time dont count-

that is why I bought the manga I just couldnt wait anymore
ill re read it again but I dont think the second season is going to be too great - or better than the first anyways.
