I really have no idea what kind of art teacher you have, but want my advice?
Pay NO attention to them. You may not believe this, but a teacher's job is basically to make every student feel accepted and to support them when they need it. No teacher will ever tell you outright that you are terrible at what they are teaching you. They aren't allowed to, to be honest.
To those saying art teachers are bad - no. They are not. I'll give you an example of my own. My art teachers are really lovely, and one of them is even my favourite teacher. She acknowledges everyone but always does demonstrations or gives advice and help to those struggling. She's given me lots of advice before in the terms of art. She even got me a pen I was looking for, a fairly expensive one at that, as I needed one. Art teachers are NOT all terrible, lying people. You just have the wrong one, Raven Feather. I'm really sorry that they said that to you, they shouldn't of, so don't listen. I'm not saying to ignore any criticism you ever get, but telling someone their art is terrible ISN'T criticism. It's hurtful. It's bullying in a way. It can really kill people's self esteem and confidence.
Know what, Raven? Next time you're in art, you hold your head up high and you be proud of yourself, you aren't terrible! Your teacher is wrong and they had no right to say that to you. You continue drawing what you want. Doesn't matter if you get low marks or anything like that, you draw what you want, how you want, in your own way. You can draw if you want to. I don't know about other schools, but in my school, art is a mandatory lesson for every pupil until they do GCSEs (unless they choose it). Anyone can be an artist if they try hard enough and want to be, but never in your life will you ever be terrible at it.
Sorry for the off topicness, but I think this is really serious and I had to address it.
