What did you do when you encountered a Shiny for the first time?

In Y, I found a shiny Corsola while looking for a Lanturn. I caught it, then saved it for contests in ORAS. Blue reef has since won the Master Rank beauty contest.

Well...i failed...badly..
I encountered a shiny lickytung in the safari in heartgold...and it fled...
Shortly after- like 3-5 wild Pokemon later i encountered a shiny ditto which could flee as well.
I was so devastated. I still don't trust the safari zone in heartgold anymore..and never will again. Too many fleeing pokemon. /cries in corner/

At least i recently caught a shiny donphan randomly in hg while i was levelling...made my day ahaha- maybe my heartgold game doesn't hate me after all...that much at least :'D

Guys, I found something out that you should know. If you don't know this already, it's important you do. Do not try to delete all three of your moves, leaving your Pokemon with the move Last Resort as its only move. If you try to make Last Resort the only available move, it will fail when used. Many people thought this strategy would work, because in order for Last Resort to work, you have to have used all three other moves first. People naturally thought that if Last Resort was a Pokemon's only move, that the game would allow it to be used. This is incorrect, you must use at least one other move before using Last Resort. If you really want to delete moves in order to use Last Resort quickly, leave the Pokemon with an Attack boosting move, or a Defense lowering move, so you can increase the power of Last Resort

Also, has anyone really understood the 'racism' issue with Jinx? I understand the joke saying black women have big lips is racist, but here's something nobody takes into account. Jinx has blonde hair, have you ever seen any black girl who has blonde hair? If you want to talk about Pokemon who are racist, Ludicolo is a perfect example, its carefree attitude, the way it dances to salsa music, and more than anything, the way it's wearing a sombrero made out of a lily pad. Ludicolo is way more racist towards Mexicans than Jinx is towards blacks. But that's my opinion, I just don't think Jinx is really that much of a Pokemon that looks racist. I do admit that I prefer purple Jinx to black Jinx though.

My first Pokemon and game was Pokemon Pearl with a male Turtwig named TWIG. Yes, I did use all caps, even for my player name. >~< I wish now I didn't. ^^'

That was always one of the things I hated in the early games. After Gen V came out, I was glad they changed it so that one, you could come up with longer names, and two, that after inputting the first letter, it switches automatically to lowercase. What annoyed me a little was that I had to nickname my Cofagrigus in order to trade it over the GTS, I couldn't understand why at first, but then I found out about the name filter, and Cofagrigus's English name contains an offensive word, so you have to nickname it in order to trade it via GTS.
