I just watched danganronpa and danganronpa 3
And I didn't get the ending of 3
(i watched despair and future at the same time)
Can someone explain?

Danganronpa 1, 2, and 3 (not V3) spoilers below!

Danganronpa 3: Despair Arc takes place before the events of Danganronpa 1, while Future Arc takes place after Danganronpa 2. I'm not sure you would've understood it fully without having played/watched Danganronpa 2. It follows the class you saw in Danganronpa 3 through their killing game, but if you already watched Despair Arc before then, you know the twists.

The ending of Despair Arc marks the Biggest, Most Awful, Most Tragic Event in Human History. Class 77 has been brainwashed into despair (bad writing with the brainwashing videos, if I have to put my two cents in) and the world, too, falls into despair. This leads into Danganronpa 1's killing game, with the students of Class 78 locking themselves inside the school.

Future Arc's ending reveals that Tengan (the Future Foundation's leader if I remember correctly) and Chisa (Class 77's teacher) were both brainwashed by the despair video (again don't get me started on the brainwashing). It also shows that Ryota Mitarai wants to... brainwash the world with... hope... and uses his video to control the troops to stop Makoto and Aoi so he can get to a room where he can broadcast his Hope Video to the entire world. Then that leads into Hope Arc. I'm not sure if you've watched Hope Arc as you didn't mention it. You can watch Danganronpa 2.5 which explains some things in between Future and Hope Arc, but if you haven't played/watched Danganronpa 2, I don't think it will make much sense.

If I didn't explain it that well or there's something specific you need explained, feel free to ask. But just a warning, Danganronpa 3 is... really bad writing in my opinion lol. If you haven't watched/played Danganronpa 2, I would really recommend doing that, as it's meant to be played before watching Danganronpa 3. I would also recommend going back and watching a let's play of Danganronpa 1 or playing it on your own, because the game explains the story a lot better than the anime, which is really just an abridged version.

• Twogami is highly underrated and I am very glad you've included him here
• I know I'm probably the biggest Hajime fan here sorry in advance that I talk about him all the time but I don't think he did anything wrong even with DR2's twist (in my mind, he and Izuru are not the same person, plus I'm also an advocate for Izuru doing nothing wrong-- the only thing I like about DR3 is watching how he did nothing... wrong or right. He just did nothing and it was pretty interesting compared to the way he was portrayed in 2)
• THANK YOU for the part about Mikan. If anyone else had gotten the Remembering Disease, they could have just as easily killed someone because of what they remembered.

You are highly encouraged to talk about Hajime whenever you want!! Yeah, I totally didn't realize, but you're absolutely right! Hajime is a fine boy who did nothing wrong even with the twist. With the brainwashing stuff, you can't really hold class 77 accountable for despair terrorism either, but... I mostly just ignore the anime tbh. Really, I only watched like one episode of DR3 and know the major stuff from like fandom osmosis. Therefore I can't really comment on the Izuru stuff (uhhh they live and die by the meme???). Didn't he kill like one dude though?
