My boyfriend just caught a 550 Eevee and it evolved into a 1290 Flareon. I was pretty jealous.

I got my first Vaporeon today, XL size and 995 CP!!! I was really excited because I was not expecting any eevees to pop up at the lure I set at the pokestop closest to my house. Now I have one eevee candy left :'D

I'm pretty sure it works more than once? Or at least increases the odds. It has for me anyways.

After thorough testing by Silph Road researchers and other dedicated players, it is confirmed at this point that naming an Eevee Sparky, Pyro, or Rainer will only work in evolving the Eevee into it's respective evolution once per Eevee type. Naming an Eevee Rainer a second time and evolving it will result in the usual 1/3 chance of getting a Vaporeon. Unfortunately it does not even increase the odds, so if it seems that way it is because you are getting lucky / coincidence (whichever you prefer to call it).

Random question, but how rare would you say it is to find any of the starters in the wild? I'm asking because I've caught upwards of twenty charmanders and a pikachu in the past couple days, but online I see a lot of people saying how they've never seen any starters in the wild, or that they've only seen a few. I suppose it may have to do with my location, as I live pretty close to a desert. But still, which starters have you seen in the wild, and how many?

Twenty charmanders? Wow I haven't seen any, but I do have the one I started with. I've caught 3 squitles, and one bulbasour. I've also hatched a pikachu so I have all of them
