I'm still curious about this religion. If you don't mind me asking, why do you call it Samhain?

Samhain is known by most folks as Halloween, but for Wiccans and Pagans it's considered a Sabbat to honor the ancestors who came before us. It's a good time to contact the spirit world with a seance, because it's the time when the veil between this world and the next is at its thinnest.

Contrary to a popular Internet-based (and Chick Tract-encouraged) rumor, Samhain was not the name of some ancient Celtic god of death, or of anything else, for that matter. Religious scholars agree that the word Samhain (pronounced "sow-en") comes from the Gaelic “Samhuin,” but they’re divided on whether it means the end or beginning of summer. After all, when summer is ending here on earth, it’s just beginning in the Underworld. Samhain actually refers to the daylight portion of the holiday, on November 1st.

EDIT: Just a little bit of stuff that has happened

Over a dinner at TGIF I started discussing wicca with my mother, who happens to be very open about learning about different religions. I brought it up casually, something like "I've been looking over wicca lately, seems like a pretty cool religion." You know, I wasn't implying anything, just testing the waters. She responded well, and asked me a couple questions about it. After dinner we were stopped at a gas station and I asked my mom if she would mind if I tested out living as a wiccan/witch for a bit. She didn't really say yes, but she didn't say no either. She just kinda uh-huh(ed) it and we moved on with our night So far, things have gone pretty well, although she still won't let me have candles xD When I go off and meditate or cast a circle or pray I just tell her "I'm gonna go read for a bit, kay mom?" and that's really just our code for, I DON'T WANNA BE DISTURBED.\

Another thing I have to say is that, since I've started (not become yet I haven't had my initiation, waiting for when it "feels" like the right time) wicca I feel all around like a braver, happier person. I have trust in my goddess, and no longer fear things that used to scare me... as much. The reason I feel happier is that I feel whole again, like how you feel when your a little kid, and everything is "just right". So, I'd been having a pretty suckish day. Anyway, it was near noon, just before lunch, and Physical Education period. I was freezing my butt off, as my gym clothes were "well ventilated" and really short/small. Then I started to feel random gusts of warm wind. Just in case, I made sure to thank air and after I was surprised; I Felt really good, like there was a warm, soft bubble stretching around me. I played much better after that, and the bubble stayed right up until the end of gym. After that I couldn't stop smiling, I felt so happy and energetic. I'm still smiling as I write this, I feel so care-free and happy

I dunno what that could've been. My mind playing tricks on me, or my favored element. Which do ya gals think it was? ANY opinions?

I dont think it would be your mind playing tricks on you, unless that is that you were focusing on a specific event like the one you described right before that happened, and you were hoping for it, if it happened on its own, and with how surprised you seem to have been, then I think it could easily been genuine.
(I have noticed with myself that if I focused on something too much and it was something I wanted very badly, my mind would trick me to believe that it did happen!)

I had a first for me- as far as experiences go, One of my friends who is a grade below me saw my necklace and asked if I was Jewish (this isn't the first time for that) but once I admitted to her that I was a witch....... then she asked me if I could turn her into a whale....... that was the first time that's ever happened... it was surprising and extremely amusing

I don't think you imagined it. Ive had things like that happen to me before and it's amazing. I don't know if I'm going to do an imitation. I had vison while matitaing one day and I saw the god and goddess. That was the day I felt like I turely belonged in this world and I wasnt alone. For me it was an initation.

I can't light candles eather. I go over to my friends house and we light candles and do rituals in her basement, because her dad lets us.

Lol, I've been accused of hexing or treating someone before when she was just mad at me and my friends. It was hilarious when the principle asked me if I was a witch! I am but I still can't Belive he beilived the girl!

Wow. See if they bothered to learn anything at all they would know that goes against the rules of Magick. But lol it is kinda funny he believed her

Even if you avoid a magical backlash there is still phyological and emotional.

Yah, It was prItty insane but I don't really like my principle anyways.

Even if they don't have the harm none rule Karma, the law of three, or what ever your name for it may be. Is always there in the shadows. Like when I was teasing my friend and a pin that was clipped to my jeans dicided to come undone and poke me in the back when I was teasing her. Lol she actually found it quite Hilarous.
