I read that when Mahiru was alive, she had the gear which held Ashuramaru.
I'm not sure who slayed Ashura in order for her to be sealed into a weapon though.
Also, Ashura is Krul's brother. I guess when your sibling died and is sealed in a sword you spectate the weapon owner ? Well, I would lmao
I think, or what I've heard, Mahiru may have had some association with Krul when she was alive, and may have something to do with the SOTE experiments.

I need to read the LN to know what happened exactly. it's kinda confusing just hearing bits and pieces from various people
