That would be me. c: I didn't realize there was a fanclub for Okami on CS until you said you were going to repost it there, so I found it after you replied.

EDIT: Y'know in the Okamiden prolouge, where it says "But then, the white wolf Shiranui appeared!"? Well, every time I read that, I think "A wild Shiranui appeared!"

i didnt like okamiden, i thought it was a cheap remake of Okami ;n;

i also dont like the idea of shiranui being male, since in the original okami game shiranui was just the name given to ammy's past self by the villagers of kamiki

I think Ammy's supposed to be genderless; however, since Amaterasu is called "Mother to us all" by the brush gods, I'm inclined to believe that she is female.

yea in real Japanese folklore she is actually genderless, but in the games she was made female. I think the little book that comes with the original game even states that she was made female for the game

Speaking of Shiranui... their (using gender-neutral pronouns to avoid confusion) death was retconned in Okamiden. It said in the Okami prolouge that they were poisoned, but then in 'den they get killed by Akuro.

hm i dunno much about okamiden, i played it and beat it in a week or so but didnt pay much attention to it since i didnt care for the game.

But i do know from the original game, that shiranui was killed after the battle with Orochi and Nagi (since shiranui was weaked in the future battle with Lechku and Nechku, oki and ammy) Then brought back to life as ammy by sakuya in the very beginning of the game. Sounds confusing Dx

oh, thats where the villagers of kamiki put shiranui(ammy) after she died in the battle of orochi. They built the statue (or shrine) at the foot of the konohana tree and put her body in it after she died. She was revived from it by sakuya in the beginning of the game. Hope that makes sense? x3
