My mom will not comply. but whatever. I used stones instead of candles. She says I;m not allowed to handle fire. -.- At least I felt a connection to the stones, they are blue, black, white crystal-y, reddish orange, and a mix of all colors. So, one to represent each element.

Also adding to Ch0sen's post asking about starting a coven, (sorry I don't have any tips) I was wondering what may be some benefits to being in a coven?
AND and tips on getting an athame? I use a double edged letter opener because I don't even want to try to explain what it is/ what it would be used for to my mom. SO i'm on my own on getting one.... she doesn't even know I have a stash of candles in my room...... The letter opener works okay, it just doesn't feel genuine, so I prefer not to use it if possible.

A benefit of being in a coven is that you can share you knowledge with each other. Someone in your coven might know something you don't and contribute to rituals and celebrations. I would like to be in one myself, but there are no others within my area...

As for the dagger, you can get them online. Unless you're 18+ you can't buy them in a store.

I have a small coven of four rookies. (including me) Two guys with the elements-Air and Water(this person and fire don't get along literally I'm always breaking them up XD) then two girls with the elements fire and earth(me). Even though we are all somewhat beganers we all learn from each other and it's quite fun. (other times I want to strangle water because he is a jerk and only cares about himself.)

Yep so thats my dis functional coven (with out the water guy and durning rituals we all get along though) XD

No one at my school practices wicca, but then again, 90% are Christians so...

EDIT: Since I got to stay home cuz of hurricane Sandy I finally got around to casting my first circle! I was a little unsure of myself, but I asked Water to, bring lots of clean fresh water to the plants and try not to harm that many people :3 I had a harder time than usual (usually I'm pretty poetic) making my words flow but, oh well! After I dismissed my circle I came down stairs and started watching the news and found out that (oh my!) it's a full moon tonight! So, I'll probably end up casting another circle before going to sleep. I found it hard to concentrate for my first circle so I meditated and it helped a little. I kept freaking about the fact my mom could walk in at any minute, and see what I was doing, and then call me some kind of freak. So, the circle was a little rushed, but still! It felt good

I understand that feeling, I am uncomfortable preforming rituals when my parents are home so I do it really late at night, especially because I'm using candles but I'm not suppost to have them.

Samhain is come up really quickly! Does any one have any plans?

I am planning on having a small ceremony at the creek down the street from my house. Although I just learned my friend will be staying over and I'm not sure how she feels about coming with me
Also, was planning on making cake of the dead but my dad cooked all our eggs..... oh well

It seems as if I spend every Wiccan holiday with my mate, But again he's coming over but we have to go to my parents church { Ugh! } But It will be the first time he'll ever see me do any kind of ritual! -is excited-

Most of the things I want to do are rather weather dependant and Sandy may have quashed my hopes with an assist from my work scedual early am shifts all week.. blah!
Going to be so hard to stay awake to do a night ritual.

I was also thinking of making one of the inks that was posted before but I'm still missing a few things, the most important one is something to put the finished product in .-.

Saimhain <3 Just gonna dress up, maybe send a prayer for meh daddy-o. Other than that I don't plan on doing anything special. I need to find a journal for my Book of Shadows though Haven't preformed any spells yet but I'm going to so I suppose I need to be prepared.

EDIT: I think my power element is air <3 As it turns out, although Aquarius is a water carrier, they're part of the air element. So... not that I think it is cuz of that. Air makes me feel happy I guess.

I want to try any spells or rituals BEFORE I put them in my book so I can make sure I'm comfortable with them and change anything as need be.
