Saddest anime moments? ;w; fnioaina Icanthinksome. /shot
1. Hughes' death in FMA: Brotherhood. This is the most notirous anime death there is, all you have do is mention the words character death to an anime fan and the name Maes Hughes jumps into their heads. At the time when Hughes' voice actor found out his character was gonna die, someone showed him a website where lots of fangirls cried of the death of Hughes. Fullmetal Alchemist was dark but characters like Hughes brought much humor when Edward couldn't. He died in episode 10! That is way too soon for a comic relief to die. Now Hughes' death is much grim then the 2003 anime is for many reasons. 1. The color palette is much more darker. 2. The stakes were much higher. 3. Hughes had closure. 4. The show had a Shonen detail in it. His death is like a generous man trying the help the Elrics and 5 killing off a popular a grim show just makes it even more depressing. Way to be a killjoy, Mrs. Hirmou Arakawa...
2. Nagisa dying after giving birth in Clannad. Alright... I'm not gonna cry.. *sniffs*Oh, I cried when Nagisa died. </3 She had a weak body but despite that, she and Tomoya decide the run the risk to start a family together... Sadly, her body couldn't handle the stress of giving birth a-a-and... died seconds.. after... I need a tissue. The water is running. </3
3. Senna's departure from Bleach: Memories of Nobody. I watched this a while ago and I think the tearjerker for Memories of Nobody is when Senna resolves the Valley of Screams crisis. Senna consisted memories of people who passed away and she begins to disappear. Just listen to the music in the background is just beautiful with that operatic choir. Listen carefully to the background music in it, it plays when Senna is being carried on Ichigo's back. She asks Ichigo to take her to her family's grave before she leaves for good. Senna loses her eyesight and grows weaker and gets carried on Ichigo's back. Ichigo can't find it... so he settles on a random grave and tells her a little white lie just so she can pass on peacefully. I mean, heck, I'd probably do the same if that was the only option left. Ichigo himself feels really bad for her... I mean she was confused and lost, being hunted down endlessly and wasn't treated like a living being. The viewers can feel the pain and melancholy in this scene, not very common in Bleach.
4. Nyu AKA Lucy's traumatic memory from Elfen Lied. This happens in episode 8 when Nyu is sick in bed and recalls her childhood memory. Three boys pick on her calling her a freak because of the ears/horns on her head. One day a lost puppy finds her and she becomes attached to it. A fellow schoolgirl asks her not to tell anyone and she says, "Okay, I'm not gonna tell anyone you can trust me." But surely enough she does.. And the same boys began to harass Nyu and began to beat the puppy to death. In a fit of rage, Nyu loses control of her powers and kills them in very cruel way. I mean this is the first time I've ever seen Elfen Lied... *shudders*That scenery.
