What level of literacy do you consider yourself to be at?

I'm actually hesitant to put myself in a category; I don't want to pretend to be something I'm not. I guess I'd turn to my rp partners for their opinions about my literacy, which would be a better judge than myself. I would hope they would put me as at least semi-lit, since I was accepted into the club, and I would like to think I have improved since then. But then who knows, maybe I got worse. XP I once had someone say that they liked the way I could say a lot in a smaller number of words, but they could have just been being nice.
However, I am happy with where I am at. I role play for fun, and while building writing skills is always important, I also have a job, actual college courses, a family, and a life. Role playing is a stress reliever. I am always happy to improve, but I am not going to stress and over work myself to improve something that is supposed to be fun. I have no aspirations about being a writer, I know I am nowhere near that level to make a profession of it and never will be. I'm going to be a Social Worker who writes on the side to please her own ego. And I am happy with that. XD

Yeah, this makes me kind of nervous about answering, considering I don't want to come off as an egotistical brat who thinks I write far better and far more than I really do or I don't want to downgrade myself completely considering that'd be a blow to my own self-esteem, so yeah, I really don't know. I guess I would consider myself semi-literate, just in between low semi-lit and high. My writing may be decent, but I have a long way to go... And I could probably write more than I do now, it's just a mix between laziness and low muse, I guess. Those are habits I need to try to break. ;w;

What level of literacy do you consider yourself to be at?

Where-ever I feel like at the time I'm writing. Sometimes, I write one-liners, and other times I can't stop writing and I end up with a three page intro (phhhhhbt). I'd consider myself generally literate, when I bother to be, but most of the time I don't. I don't do my best work in most roleplays (that's usually saved for potentially publishable stuff), as they're mostly just for fun and low-key practice.
INSANELY BUSY!
I am moving! For the next month or so, I am going to be so very busy.
If I'm on here, it's because I'm unwinding with writing or pets or whatever.
Please do not add to my stress, if you can. Your support is appreciated.

{{ okay, hi people...I currently have a role play in need of guys. All the girls have been taken, so I was wondering if any of you might want to take a guy.

viewtopic.php?f=83&t=2121202

Brittany 1486
A terrible war has broken out between the French, and the young Duchess's army. A war between religion it is. Between the French's one god, and the Brittany's nine saints [ gods ]. Each trying to force the other to believe in the other by fighting and smearing the others blood across the fair duchess's walls.

The duchess has no choice but to be sent off and marry a man her father had chosen before he passed. She hopes that his man will bring her enough 'men at arms' to defeat these French. But what she learns is that this man is not in the least bit pleasant.

Assassins as well have been sent to help the Duchess, all of them working for their god Mortain. Each assigned to do different jobs that can help the duchess win the war, and escape her fate with the man her father had chosen for her.

As each assassin learns the ways to help the duchess, they also learn the ways of their heart. But can such a dark lord grant them such a light such as love? Does the lord have any mercy for them? And will he help with young duchess win this war?

    LOL
i'd like to think that i'm literate??? but probably not hhhhhh
this is the most recent example of me with writer's block (ew it burns), but on a good day - aka when i'm not feeling lazy
aka once every blue moon - i can churn out... at least double that, and my writing would be less clunky and more in-character.
that being said, i think it should be more about quality, not quantity, and i'm the worst critic of my own writing. so on that i have no idea, haha.
edit: this is a good example of how i post when i have adequate muse (and time). WARNING ZOMBIES and ben c looking insanely hot

also, i think i still have a real problem with overusing commas. :u

what level of literacy do you consider yourself to be at?
uhhh

it really depends

if i feel like i should because my partner is expecting me to, i can churn out 800-900 and once when i was particularly with muse i managed to write 1200+.

which will never happen again.

i think i'm probably somewhere near the bar of literate.

would anyone be interested in personified colors?

of course, blue loves purple, but purple really isn't interested
in anyone at all. black used to love white but the both of them
are now feeling that the other is an idiot/jerk. gray, their child,
is practically daria, from the tv show daria. yellow's that
annoyingly naive girl, who's always telling you to be safe. or
else she gets sad, and it's always awkward when children are
      crying.

I really need a historical roleplay right now ;w;
I don't check messages here. If you've found me through other websites or communities such as deviantART/Kiamaras, my characters are not for sale and never will be.

personified colours sounds fun :D I think it would be quite fun to play out the stereotypical personalities linked to the colours and how they would interact with each other as well. aldo, they could have the complimentary colours that go well together, eg. yellow and purple like each other, red and green are best friends, but analogous colours may not get on as well, eg. red and orange, because they are too similar? just an idea xp

    ------

would anyone be interested in a youtuber roleplay?
just one where we all make up our own youtubers, and maybe they go out on a group trip to l.a. or india or australia or wherever xp I am in one at the moment but I have a feeling it's slowly dying because we are waiting for one more person to join so we can't really start yet :/ I think it's quite a fun sort of roleplay, not based on romance, but just something fun c: how does that sound? I have no ideas for a plot yet though.

I'm actually nowhere as literate as most of you in this club. I'm more on the semi-literate end. I can write multiple long paragraphs, but because I mainly do roleplaying as a hobby I am less concerned with writing large amounts, hence I'm more frequently involved in lower literacy roleplays than higher literacy.

Both personified colours and youtubers sounds great.

Also, does anyone have any roleplays that are completely weird/out of the ordinary at the moment? I really fancy writing something literate and challenging, heavily reliant perhaps on description or action as opposed to romance or whathaveyou, just to give me a challenge over the Christmas holidays c:

Postby king boo » Tue Dec 24, 2013 4:59 am

okay, concerning the shifter rp, I will make the thread however it will be exclusive to this club and therefore on the bottom of your forms say you are a member, if I have not seen you around often I may ask for proof. anyway, there will be spots but only to add some family a more mixed culture rather then everyone being English/American. it will quality over quantity so don't worry about making an 1000+ word post or something xp

@intriguing:: ohh, I would also love something like this! maybe have a small group roleplay of 3-4 people would be nice u.u as for plot though... I have no-idea xD
