Me too! Well, I only watched the anime of the first game because DR3 wasn’t out yet. When it did come out, I was planning on watching it before I beat DR2, and luckily I never did.
Also, looking at Chihiro’s list— I wouldn’t worry too much when going through the order about DR3. I actually finished it after playing V3. And, to be honest, there are.... a lot of problems I have with 3. I liked how they handled some stuff, but for the most part, they retconned a lot and there was a lot of lazy plot devices and explanations I think. I could go on about this but maybe I’ll do that when I get to a computer :P. Also, Zero can be read before playing 2, and it actually provides some background info on stuff, but I won’t get into too much detail and it’s completely optional so don’t worry too much about it. In fact, reading it after might make a little more sense, but at either point is fine.
