I was thinking about it for a while and realised that Secret Santa isn't really the most COPPA friendly when I feel they are more than capable of joining in on this fun seasonal event within the community. It makes me quite sad that COPPAs are unable to involve in a lot of positive community-ran events and I was hoping we could act to change that.

I was wondering if anyone else had any other ideas on how to include them in the event? Allowing them to sign up by naming their pets the form info // PMing them details and responding yes/no/etc through the old method of communication with COPPAs.

Would appreciate any feedback/critique/advice.

Id also think it could be really cool if we could create more/new banners or stamps for signatures to increase awareness about the event? Id really love to see as many people as possible on CS getting involved this year but don't feel obligated to make a stamp if you don't want to!

We very much wanted to include COPPA players last year, and I believe Rogue even spoke to a moderator about this. The problem is it just simply isn't possible to include them without violating CS's guidelines for COPPA players. While ideally they could do what was described, that is still technically not allowed. Essentially its a "loophole" for communication, and, while its one that's often not stopped, still does go against CS guidelines. In addition, the nature of the event pretty much requires communication. COPPA users won't be able to really post a solid letter to santa, ask the questions they need, or be able to even find out what their giftee wants without being able to communicate with us.
In addition its difficult to send the information that's needed to COPPA players, as several pms go on throughout the evenr. It just seems to be not possible at this time, as unfortunate as it is. We really wanted to include them last year, but came to this conclusion.
But! More banners/stamps/etc are always good things! Everyone should definitely be encouraged to make/display advertisements for SS.
