      you are not awful.

and i TOTALLY BELIEVE THE SECOND PART.
our roleplay is maaaaajor proof of that
but yes, i tend to be pretty damn evil to my characters as well.
what's the point in having happy-go-lucky roleplays where nothing bad happens.
everything that could possibly happen or go wrong has to go wrong.
it's just the way it is.

      agreed.
witch hunters should fail, starships should crash on post-apocalyptic Earths and vampires should fall in love with werewolves.
oh and normal guys should be kidnapped to become strange creatures.

yeah obviously otherwise all my posts would be non-existent and even worse than they already are.
      which is practically impossible.
take half a bag of rock (Evanescence), three spoons of symphonic metal (Within Temptation, Epica, Delain), half a teaspoon of metal (Nightwish), half a teaspoon of classical dark cabaret (Emilie Autumn) and a sniff of pop (Florence + the Machine, Coldplay). add coca cola/tea. mix.
      result is reply to roleplay.

well, it varies. in character creation (drafting and form making), i listen to a genre that matches their personality stereotypically (so a quieter person, there would be soul or classical playing; maybe acoustic of any genre or a capella) or completely contrasts (again, stereotypically uwu).

i keep note of the song - usually by writing it in my notebook - and the character it corresponds with so if i ever lack muse (which i usually do) i sort of... well, that's their song. sometimes this works with food/scents/etc.

      erm, hrm.
sometimes music helps me more than others.
if the roleplay is action-y/dark then it's generally bring me the horizon or heavier sort of music.
especially when i'm writing fight scenes.
and jame mcmorrow for mine and detectives third star roleplay /cries into the night
bmth helps me a lot, actually.
as does some of paramore's old stuff.
it just depends on the scene that i'm writing.
but yeah, music does tend to help me out a lot.

Brand new Zombie Apocalypse roleplay, loosely based off of the events of World War Z.

viewtopic.php?f=83&t=2014983

Image

It'd started out as a normal day; you were on your way to work, sitting around the table with your family, picking up the kids form school.Living. It started with the explosions, military attempts to destroy what the public didn't know about. But soon came the riots and people, like walking corpses, flooded the streets attacking everyone in sight. Their irises had turned to a milky white and their flesh had begun to rot away as decomposition set in, but they continued to kill, and kill, everything in their path. Half-eaten corpses scattered the asphalt, blood pooling through the streets, but some had managed to survive. A team has banded together, intent on traveling to Alaska after hearing rumors of more survivors awaiting them.
People of all different backgrounds came together in hopes of survival. but how long will they last before they tear one another apart before the zombies even get to them? The infection spreads quickly, taking only eight seconds to take effect. Ports have been closed and towns barricaded. Entire cities have been destroyed, left completely vacant save for dormant zombies. The surviving people have broken into groups and created shelters, while others are set on Alaska, to follow the rumors of a still-functioning military base. They fight with whatever they have, some with guns, others with homemade weapons.

Navy Seal, Teacher, Hobbyist(<- That's Gun Hobbyist), and Police Officer are still open.

yes! i generally keep a tab up with pandora. when i'm looking for muse, i try to listen to music that corresponds with the characters personality. for a character that has an in your face personality, i generally listen to all time low, mayday parade, woe is me, sleeping with sirens, artist vs. poet, and the white tie affair. for characters with a less aggressive personality, i'll listen to sam tsui, alex goot, tyler ward, hawk nelson, the cab, maria mena and jamestown story.

Why yes, yes I do. Consistently, perpetually. I have a dozen or so playlists on Spotify that are sorted by mood or type. Sci-fi, Fantasy, Action Scenes, Sentimental, Energy, Menace... Having a selection of music to set the mood is invaluable to me. I usually don't listen to music with words though, when writing, as it messes me up. I start typing what I'm hearing. I listen to soundtracks, scores, Two Steps From Hell, Hans Zimmer, E.S. Posthumus, Phutureprimitive, Glitch Mob, Vangelis, misc. classical... whatever you might hear as the background music in a movie.
INSANELY BUSY!
I am moving! For the next month or so, I am going to be so very busy.
If I'm on here, it's because I'm unwinding with writing or pets or whatever.
Please do not add to my stress, if you can. Your support is appreciated.
