i will definitely look into him/his stuff!! i've recently been getting really into sci-fi/cyberpunk books, and i'm currently reading blackfish city by sam j. miller. but i should definitely go back to fantasy stuff soon

I wish I could get more into sci fi!! Its not really my genre, especially hard sci fi :( I do like space opera a lot, though. I wonder if there are any good books that are comparable to something like the Mass Effect video game series.

if you were interested in a book that might help you get more into sci fi, or just a sci fi book that's easy on non-sci fi readers, i would recommend the book of the month that i have listed c: before i read it, i didn't really love sci fi before i read it either, but it made me more interested in books like it.

as for mass effect, i've heard of it but i've never played it x.x what's it like? i might know some books similar

I have heard of that book on YouTube actually! I'll definitely add it to my TBR list then, it sounds very interesting :>

Mass Effect is a really typical space opera, if I had to characterize it by a few words I'd say its really focused on characterization and relationships, action/adventure, that kinda thing. There are actually some Mass Effect books but I read them all and found them meh at best, lmao.

Speaking of YouTube- do you guys have any Booktuber recommendations? I'm always looking for more!! I really like Meltotheany and BookswithEmilyFox lately.

six of crows is on my to read list but i've never really looked into throne of glass. i'm not a big high fantasy fan so i usually struggle with that >.<
