I remember, I was at a Q and A with a politician. One of my favorites. I was slightly disappointed when I discovered that he doesn't support LGBT+ rights, but that's besides the point. Anyhow, I was able to ask a question*, well, I was able to have my mother ask a question* for me. I mean this guy was big. On national news just about every night, former governor of Arkansas. I was overwhelmed by the whole thing. So she started off by talking about how, when I was younger, and even now, the school board keeps pushing ADHD on me and telling me things that aren't true. But the truth is, I'm just not somebody that fits their perfect mold. Huckabee, the politician, agreed that perhaps having ADHD isn't completely the problem, then he answered my question*. When the Q and A was through, an old man walked up to me, put his hand on my back, and started talking to me. He told me about how he has ADHD as well, and school was particularly difficult for him too. He told me that things will get better later in life and that I could use my disorder to my advantage if I really tried. Unfortunately, school has been getting harder and harder for me as the year goes on, and I've done some things that I'm not very proud of because of it, but I can honestly say that I think of this man pretty often, and he's certainly made some sort of impact. I will always appreciate that night.
*He talked to the crowd about the art and music programs and I had asked him how we could get the school board to understand their importance and contributions to academic performance.
Smoogiepie; Do you mind if I use a couple of your polar bear sketches for banners?
