Yes, he is old. He gets around pretty good for his age but he has trouble lifting his feet up and his belly hits the ground at the back, so I have to wipe him down sometimes to keep the poor guy clean.
I'm glad you like my sweeties. <3

Also, check out this site. There's tons of photos there that you can show your mom (though don't steal them of course!) and lots of great information for you about rats.
Like, you said you want one rat...but they must be in pairs.

Oh yes I know you must have at least 2 rats. I have researched them plently so I can teach her as much as me she just won't listen! Thank you for the site link I always like to have more resources. I have actually dedicated a project at school to pet rats.

Name: I have several, and since I live in Sweden, their names would probably sound wierd to you

Gender: 3 females, 4 males
Health Issues: Rats are prone to respiratory disease and tumours. I have some problems with mycoplasma on my females, they are being treated with antibiotics. The males are completely healthy.
Are They A Good Pet? Yes, definitely. Out of all the animals our family own (Cats, Dogs, Guinea Pigs, Horses) rats are my favorite. They are very intelligent, playful and cuddly. They are a lot like dogs, only smaller

The only bad thing about them are their short lifes and that they sometimes have health issues.
Picture(optional of course, i just love to see the little guys):

Nimrod97 wrote:Thank you ^^, incase any of you visit this thread again, where did you get your rats from, a pet store, local breeder, human society?
I got them from different breeders.
Eno och Emilio - From a breeder that specialize in variegated, siamese and burmese (about 2 hrs from me)
Milla, Evinco - From a breeder a bit closer to me (about 1 hr in a car)
Eddystone, Embla, Eos - From a litter I raised in cooperation with the breeder that lives closer to me.
Milla is the aunt of Eddy, Embla and Eos and they are the aunts and uncle to Evinco.
There is no humane society here.

Name:
Cookies & CreamGender:
Both guysHealth Issues:
Both have upper respiratory system infections, but its not life threatening, although it is life long. (For them at least, weve gone to many doctors to get them meds, but none work :c )Are They A Good Pet?
YES, yes they are. They clean themselves, and their cage needs cleaning about once every 2 weeks (?) depending on what the cage size is. My cats dont eat them xP Their easy to feed, once a day. They can go most anywhere (Their cage). Mine are on a shelf on top of the TV in our dining room. (We dont eat in there, though xD)Picture(optional of course, i just love to see the little guys):

Anything You Want To Share About Them:
