aaaAAAAAA i forgot to post in like forever! but good news everyone!! i finally won a doll!! i haven't seen them yet, because it's a runner-up! i'm a little disappointed i didn't win the actual thing, but sometimes runner ups are just as good, even better than the actual doll!! it was doll 118, by the way.

I've personally haven't won runner-up and becuase of this, im cool with both
however, i have seen some amazing rus that were sooooo nice looking
maybe even "better" than the original was

It has been such a long while since I've last posted on here! I've been developing a more solid character structure for both Alex and Kamon, so I suppose I'll tackle the character questions after that.
[for the record: Alex is definitely a Hufflepuff while Kamon is Slytherin [or Ravenclaw?]. YES.]

Hmmm... well, i see both as an honor, really.
Think of it, an amazing artist going out of their way to draw something especially for you? Or maybe someone trusting you with a character they put time and effort into creating from scratch? It's amazing!

Wow! I haven't actually posted anything in a while on here, although I have been practicing some avid stalking techniques...

There are a ton of wonderful questions that I fully intend to dredge up from the creativity- well that is this fan club. Especially the Hp house Question! Give me one guess which of my dolls is Slytherin haha...

Oh well, now I just have to do that question:

Ayna: 77% Gryffindor

Tell-E: 77% Slytherin (WOW that's a surprise I so pegged her for a Hufflepuff)

Clara: 77% Hufflepuff

Tasmanian: 89% Slytherin

Roman: 77% Hufflepuff

I'm seeing a bit of a trend... which is funny because I'm a Gryffindor

p.s. I was scrolling through some old forms (as one does) and I saw that there was another doll with the same name as Roman. Is this a problem?

there's nothing against having dolls w/the same name :> if you really have a issue (i.e the name is very creative/something you made up) you're free to bring it to a staff member's attention & we can see what we can do about it, but beyond that there's nothing wrong w/it. plenty of ppl irl have the same name, you know?

Ahhh Rohan actually is a runner up but I've seen other runner ups and honestly I've liked every single runner up better than the original adopt (except Mason and Ariel hehe). They look very different and I don't know.. I fell in love with Rohan a LOT more than his original adopt and he's just so hot and like??? He's my precious flower demon okay omg I prefer runner ups though honestly. ^^

Thanks Slimedog! No, I didn't have a problem, I just was worried that someone else might c: (In some other adopts people get rly cranky about it for some reason)

Hmm... you know I don't really know as I've never gotten a ru, but I think that I might prefer one in some instances because sometimes you can pick colors/themes depending on the artist <3

People have been complaining that Dollhouse artists are too inactive, or that there are only a few adopts available at a time (as Slime disproved in the post above). In response, the artists complained that they don't post too frequently because they don't feel enough entrants put effort into their forms (in comparison to the ones who do).

Before commenting here, artist/mod Slimedog and I conducted some research. We went through every single adopt (thaaaat's right, all 136 of them), and then proceeded to go through aaaall the posts, and started recording numbers to answer this question; By the end of the contests, how many forms per adopt were complete, and how many forms were left incomplete? (#WeDidn'tSleepUntil1am #mayweRIP)

Here are the statistics:

To put it in words, Slime and I split the numbers into two sections: the less recent adopts (Dolls 1-68, from the "first half" of Dollhouse), and the recent adopts (Dolls 69-136, from the "second half" of Dollhouse). As you can clearly see by the red, more than half of forms are left incomplete, but just in case you're skeptical...

During the first half of Dollhouse:
603 complete forms from adopts 1-68.
715 incomplete forms from adopts 1-68.
Which means only 46% of forms were completed during the first half.

During the second half of Dollhouse:
544 complete forms from adopts 69-136.
885 incomplete forms from adopts 69-136.
Which means only 38% of forms were completed during the second half.

Overall:
1,147 completed forms.
1,600 incomplete forms.
Which means that, on average, only 42% of forms are finished.

That's less than half. Of course, this doesn't apply to every single adopt (Slime and I noticed—as expected—that nearly, if not all forms were completed for raffles or 'post a picture' and 'five word personality' contests), but for a significant amount, yes.

In conclusion:
This doesn't mean we're angry. Disheartened, maybe a little, but just in case you were disbelieving of our claims, here's the data. This is why we're not always super inspired to spend our precious free time making dolls. So stop complaining, those few of you who continue to do so.

To the rest of you: please don't feel intimidated by contests with a ton of entrants!! As you can see, more than 50% of them will likely drop out, haha.

Also, in celebration, Slime and I noted three users who consecutively put a lot of effort into their forms and p much impressed us every single time, so ~Soul~, ~ Silver, and Adalgisa have been awarded a prize if they PM Slimedog or myself. :-)
