I think it was some kinda genetics thing of where animus parents were more likely to have animus kids (see Darkstalker & Jeroba), so then since Snowfox wasn’t an animus the odds of it being passed down became a lot lower. They probably CAN still have animus heirs but it’s a LOT less likely

yeah but we only saw it in the nightwings after darkstalker (thru clearsight his sister) and it's insanely rare. Like in the thousand years since Darkstalker, we only know of one (Stonemover). Sure it's possible they had more, but from the implications its not suppperr likely, since if they did they probably would have used it to get a new home much sooner

i mean considering the nightwings moved to the volcano because they were afraid of what darkstalker could do with his powers the nightwings probably have the best idea of their limits out of the tribes lol

but i think its also implied that the volcano only became a problem partway through the war, shortly before they released the prophecy, so they also might not have needed to get a new home until relatively recently, and by then stonemover would already have been born
