Hello, I hope you're well!

Secret Santa is starting soon - you can expect your assignment PM around December 1st.

In the meanwhile we'd like to clear up some things about the gifting process, particularly as it pertains to art.

This year we decided to make it an option to specify whether you were interested in giving/receiving art following a lot of feedback about facilitating art giving/receiving as part of a gift in Secret Santa.

Unfortunately it appears that a disproportionate amount of people have stated they would like to receive art, but have said no to giving.

We'd like to clarify that art you give as a Secret Santa does not have to be created by you, it can also be commissioned.

If more people do not agree to consider creating or commissioning art as well as receiving then it's very likely the vast majority of people who have signed up to receive art will not be paired with someone who has agreed to consider giving art as part of their gift.

We'd really like everyone interested in art to be happy with their gift (and the event!) and to pair people up appropriately...

So unfortunately unless you are both comfortable giving (creating or commissioning) and receiving art, then we cannot guarantee you will be paired with someone who is comfortable giving art too.

If you are comfortable with giving art now that it's clear it's OK if it's commissioned, please let me know.
