What would be your dream Summer Event theme??

****Reiterating some concerns from another user in this thread, there are some "cryptids" which can be attributed to indigenous cultures that should either be well researched or not included to avoid possible cultural appropriation.

I like the cryptid/camping idea.

I like the idea of a film noir/ old Hollywood theme. It could center around different black and white or just old films. I'm thinking things like Casablanca, The Maltese Falcon, perhaps even Some Like It Hot. Idk how many people have even seen those movies anymore but they are old classics that could make for an interesting theme and perhaps even reintroduce some much older films to a few people.

I am ALL FOR a cryptid-themed event folded into the camping theme--maybe even with the arctic/outback/mountains/other biome we haven't visited before as a setting!

This may be a bit too unlight to be chosen, but a "taken over" event, where some evil pet gets into the code and takes over, and i think the tokens could be things to stop it? may sound a bit like the internet event but the concept can be built upon and taken away from that.

The thing I love about this idea is the tokens being talismans to protect or banish, and this could also be added to a cryptid event easily!

Shrunken down to bug-size and going on a tiny adventure is another idea I've seen on this thread that I LOVE!

Sky city/cloud city is also a great idea and it could even be combined with the aforementioned tiny adventure.

Someone mentioned geocaching or scavenger hunts and to be honest, a scavenger hunt throughout the CS site is just something I want in general lol.

And last but not least, my own idea:

We log onto CS to find that we've been randomly assigned one of a small handful of different themes. These represent the idea that we've been flung into different worlds/times/dimensions/whatever.

We go to the event page and find some sort of device or station there that allows users and NPCs in the disparate areas to communicate with each other. (It could literally be a radio or something where we press different buttons to get to different NPC pages.)

One of the NPCs is like "I don't know man, some guy called The Physician or something came running by screaming something about a space-time rupture and then there was an explosion and you can see where that landed us. Time to figure out what happened and how to fix it!"

...honestly, the different places we land could incorporate several of the themes/locations people want. One location is a sky kingdom, one is a black-and-white film noir, one's a haunted forest, etc.

Obviously themes can be expanded or whittled down depending on how much time and effort the staff are willing/able to put in, but that's the gist.

I really like this idea like old Hollywood, I mean they could have a dramatic story line. Or something fun with that. It would be very interesting to see them do a whole greyscale theme and like advance with color as the event went on.

A mythology event would be so awesome! I am personally partial to Greek and Roman mythology, but it could be really cool to see what else you all could come up with. If you did go with the Greek myths thing, you could have an Underworld region, an earthly region, and a region on Mount Olympus or Mount Ida. It would be so cool!
