There's an extremely stern-looking molly who prowls out of the bushes, following your clan. She's very quiet, refusing to make small talk or make big of herself unless spoken to first. It's subtle but clear that it's not so much shyness as an overwhelming sense of her own moral superiority.

xxxxHer disdain is subtle, indeed.

xxxxYou get the impression she's only following after you in order to guilt trip your clan's representatives. You might be wrong. But you have strong intuition about it.

xxxxIncreasingly, her mumbling grows to be about pettier and pettier things (apparently kits playing with feathers is "decadence beyond reason" and apprentices getting days off is "proof of the depravity of these land-stealing migrants" and any sort of decoration of the dens is "heresy against the Great Silence").
xxxxCertainly her spiritual beliefs are... odd, from what can be gathered. Seemingly everything fun or pleasurable is an "abomination".
xxxxMaybe she'll stop bothering your clan's representatives if you try bonding with her over the obvious rules the rest of your clan refuses to acknowledge? There must be something that'll calm her down enough that she'll stop bugging you all.

From ahead of wear you're leading your clan's procession back, you hear laughter from among the bushes, as well as a boisterous voice cracking some... bad jokes.
xxxxThey're so shockingly bad, that you vow to forcibly erase them from your memory, even if it takes the medicine cats' assistance.
xxxxYou come closer, as your path home requires you to, only for you to hear the noises stop. Oh no! What if they're really aggressive or territorial? What if they do something to you and your clan-mates? It'd be far too easy for an ambush, judging from how many voices you heard from among the bushes.
xxxxIt's deathly silent, suddenly, which, as you know there are cats here, must mean they're watching you, eyes on your back.
xxxxThe shadows seem to lengthen for a moment, and you feel something approach - you quicken your step, trying to escape, but you know it's helpless, as you can feel its breath on your neck -

xxxxYour world is a blur of blacks and greens and browns and blues and for a second, you can't work out which way is up, because there's a pinning pressure everywhere, and you're sure you rolled.
xxxx"'Boo'." Comes a voice. There's a strange timbre to it, rare among cats. Somehow, if someone were telling a story and arbitrarily wanted their villain to be obviously a villain but still attractive, you feel like they'd pick that accent to represent their villain. It feels almost like a sign of what some rather stuck-up cats might take to be a sign of "civility", but really it just makes their vowels all feel clipped, and their 't's far too strong.
xxxxYou can see darkly coloured feet descending downwards into a deep blue and starry sky, and two piercing eyes looking up at you, lying on the ground.
xxxxThere's a strange, sparkly, multi-coloured metal thing, perched at an angle atop his head. You're sure it should have come off as he rolled with you, but it stays perfectly in place, and he has a cheeky grin across his face, somehow accentuated by the messy curls of fur all around it.
xxxx"There shall be more than enough room for some more at my party, tonight. Come, tell your travelling companions that they might rest the night with myself and my friends here, and wait 'til morn for your onward travel." He hesitates only a second more before helping you up. Were it not for the help, you're sure that your clan-mates would have attacked him for his ambush on you, but he's soon telling jokes - better ones now, who he hasn't exhausted them with - for you, and he really does have enough charisma to make you forgive even the jokes that fall flat.
xxxxAs he leads your clanmates to a suitable clearing to rest in - lined with inordinate amounts of fresh-kill - however did he catch all this? - he leans in close to your ear, and there's a playful purr beneath his voice.
