What got you into it: My parents signed me up for swimming lessons when I was younger
Advice you'd give to people interested in the same sport(s): Just have fun!

Favorite parts: That feeling when you propel through the water after pushing off the wall
Least favorite parts: Water up my nose

Welcome, -TruBlue! C: I'm guessing you enjoy tropical areas or coastlines for snorkeling! Have you found any cool fish or other treasures? When I was a kid first learning to snorkel, I was afraid of the fish and hated how they felt against my legs. But about five seconds later I got used to it and swam way past my family to sightsee XD So far I've only seen fish and common animals like crabs, but it would be really neat to find an octopus!

What you have done:
Snorkeling (for swimming and for fun), and competitive swimming.
What you want to do:
Perhaps be an olympic swimmer one day! Even for just
one event hehe.
What got you into it:
When I was smaller and did ballet, I looked out the window
to see kids swimming in the pool for their team swim
practice. They gave me the urge to swim, which made me
tell my mom I want to swim in the swim team! So I stopped
ballet (lol) and swim in my swim team now!
Advice you'd give to people interested in the same sport(s):
If you want to go faster always swim like
there's no tomorrow in practice. And always- just keep
swimming!
Favorite parts:
Sprints and swimming with my team
Least favorite parts:
DISTANCE! I can't do a 500 free or even 100 fly
(despite it being my best stroke lol)

I went to a lake a few days ago to see some family and I was able to go snorkeling and kayaking! I found some fish and an old record disk, which I might clean off later. I went kayaking for about two hours and it was amazing!

Advice you'd give to people interested in the same sport(s):
You have to work crazy hard
to get good at surfing. You will not
be a Kelly Slater or Stephanie Gilmore
overnight, unfortunately. Surf everyday,
practice on land, work out, anything
you can to get better. And always have a goal.

Favorite parts: Learning new tricks
Least favorite parts: Duck diving or
when the set comes and it's crashing
on your head
