Lure

As the month of October settles in, it is said that around this time of year portals are opened that unleashes demonic forces and creatures of the unknown into our world. Hallows are one of those creatures. large Dire wolf-like canines with large paws and creepy features. Hallows are some of the rarest creatures to see and are almost unheard of, as they can only be found during one month of the year. Their eyes are said to glow like LED lights in the pitch dark night and can be seen from a mile away. They have an appetite for meats and sweets and travel alone or in small groups, they are normally sly creators of the night. Hallows have many different traits, some rare and some common. However, all Hallows have stone-like pouches somewhere on their bodies to hold all the souls they snatch up.Hallows have been spotted all over the world during the span of October, lingering in the night among trees and tall fields. However, after November 1st the creatures seem to vanish back into the shadows. It is unknown why this is, however many reports show a strange presence of them during this time.

What Are Hallows?

One Month out of the year during October the hallow comes alive with more creators of the night then ever before. Hallows are said to come from the spirit world or underworld and surface from the shadows and fetch the souls of the dieing before returning to where they came. Hallows are entities of darkness and not really living at all, they come and go as they please and don't live by physics. Hallows are said to be very rare to catch of glimpse of and will often stay out of sight of humans, most call them Hell Hounds, Devils & other names.

Physical Looks::

These Dire wolf-sized beasts normally have short or medium fur that is soft to the touch like fleece. Hallows have very muscular bodies and are able to shift into the shadows to hid themselves, they also have large paws ans thick claws for holding down pray. Their eyes glow like LEDs in the night and each Hallow has Soul Pouches on their body to carry the souls they snatch. Hallows have no white in their eyes, most of the time a Hallow has all black or snake-like eyes. Hallows also can have many different traits such as tails, horns, ears, fur, eyes, etc. Check out the Traits list at our HQ for more info.

Diet::

Hallows have been seen to eat a very strange diet of raw meat, sweets & souls. A feral Hallow will consume their fair share of souls, sweets & live stock before returning to the other plane. However, domesticated Hallows have been seen warming up to most meats including fish, beef, pork & other proteins. These Hallows have also been seen to eat almost anything you put in front of them, including sweets!

Breeding::

Hallows breed during October when their activity is highest. Hallows will chose ONE breeding partner every year when they come to our plain, some will keep the same mate each year and others will find a new one each time. Hallows will only breed ONCE during October and a pair can have litters of up to 4 pups per litter, which will be fully grow and ready to breed by the next year. You can visit the Hallow Nursery to breed your own Hallows or go to our Growths thread when you're ready to grow your babies!

Relationships::

Hallows are generally friendly but skittish creatures, Its fair to say they don't get out too much. Hallows will normally travel either alone or in groups. In most cases, Hallows lives in packs of 10 or more and rely on each other for safety. When a bond is made between a Hallow and a human it is said to be a spiritual bond that links the Hallow to our world so they don't have to return to their's when October is over.

Rarities::

Hallows have many traits that range from very common-very rare, a single hallow may hold several mutations of different rarities. These traits will determine just how common or rare your Hallow is. Hallows can also mutate over the years and change their appearance, check out the Re-vamps page if your intrested in updated your Hallow. There is also a list of all the possible Hallow mutations!
