Personality/Character
Spotlight is the smartest horse at the stables. However, despite his intelligence and imagination, he refuses to use his mind for anything that he sees as wrong - in other words he will sometimes steal a bit of food, but refuses to lead the others into escaping. He knows more than the other horses and he understands that they are spoilt with love, food and companions in their home and doesn't see any reason to escape.
Spotlight has many friends in all types of animals, including the dogs, cats, humans and horses that are always happy to see him. What he doesn't realise is that many of the mares he is friends with fancy him, he doesn't understand flirting yet!
Spot is extremely sensitive to his rider's needs and people of all ages love his responsiveness, dependability and sensibility. He is many a child's favourite ride, and unlike like many of the others he relishes the attention he gets from them, never getting irritated or ignoring them. For the older kids and adults he provides a steady and reliable way to learn new skills and disciplines, like cross-country, jumping or trekking (even on roads).
He doesn't have a specialist discipline, but Spot's favourite thing is a run on the beach. He loves to feel the wind in his mane and the cool water around his feet. The sea is where he performs the best, reaching very high speeds galloping flat-out on the empty sands.
