also im not sure if youve said already but would they be able to understand what people say to some extent?
also for the tabby story my story kinda when a bit large, that ok?
also last question or now, but do they get slightly aggressive when protecting young? like try to make themselves larger to spook others off. like standing taller or pushing out their chests?
I'd say they understand people to about the same extent as dogs do- they get words and phrases, but they understand body language better than verbal language! They learn pretty quickly though so the do pick up on new words pretty quick!
And thats fine! It'd only be a problem if it was like....the size of a horse of something xD
And yes, Newtons do get pretty protective of their young! It's kind of a species-wide thing. People have seen whole mobs of angry Newtons chasing a dog down the street because it nipped a baby before!
They fluff out their fur as much as possible and hiss and arch their back like a cat, though there's also a lot of waving their horns about and slapping their tails about. If it's a Newton on it's own it'll use intimidation as much as possible since they aren't great fighters! But when you get bunches of them, they turn aggressive a lot more quickly.
Is there anything else your curious about? I love fleshing these guys out, it's one of my favourite parts of making new characters and species

And off-topic...you guys are killing me with this tabby Newton! There are so many amazing entries, I don't know how I'm going to be able to pick a winner xD
