It's a Scrubs Thang: Use the 'colour' layer, and put 'lock alpha' on.

I locked my alpha and colored my horse in black and when I saved it he turned into brown!I tried to recolor but I can't!

I'm not sure what to do about that... You should be able to edit the drawing, though.
