Maybe for every element you make with the dragon there can be like different types of jewel necklaces xD
Like for eletric there could be a yellow jem inside the necklace.fire would be red..and so on.

Very creative... I may think about it I have also been thinking about drawing a butterfly dragon lineart... this is my favorite kind of dragon ^^

Oh that sounds cool I like dragons with feathered wings instead of the bat-type wings. Another type of wings could be.... I don't know, like the wings that flying squirells have, where it is connected to their arms and stuff.

That actually sounds like a good idea, ya know, it could like, specify what element your dragon was.

Wind/Air-Clear/White
Electricity-Yellow
Earth-Brown or Green
Light-Light Violet
Spirit-Turqouise
Water-Midnight Blue
Fire/Lava-Dark Red

Dawnshadow, I don't know if I am going to add spirit, light and wind/air elements, I just can't imagine very well how I would do them. Eletricity is basically Lightning, and for me the jewels would be:

Lightning- a bright pupleish-white color, slightly sparking.
Water- a neutral tone of blue, with the water reflex effect on it and a slight glow
Lava- would be black with vivid red-orange markings forming a pattern similar to a blood circulation, as the lava does in real life
Fire- Bright yellow-red color, almost glowing
Ice- a soft blue tone covered by a white layer, this one drawn in frozen-like patterns
Toxic- a bright green color, glowing.
Darkness- black with a purple color drawn in swirling patterns, as a whirlwind.
Earth- soft green color with slim roots covering it

I like this, specially the lava one sounds really cool and interesting. Ya, the ones I posted were just ideas for colors of stones that matched the elements. I love designated coloring =-) lol

Well for the water element instead of horns on the head you can go with frills or spikes with webbing.^^
I always sucked at drawing frills.

I really love your dragon lineart, can't wait for this one to be finished.
