Well I use pen and pick a color and try to color the cat but no color comes.

Make sure you're on the right layer; it won't work if you're under the background or something. Try un-checking lock alpha, too. See what happens.

I tried and worked but then everything else I can choose like stage 3, stage 2, take away toys, and that is gone. Oh well.

I have no idea why it wouldn't work, if you have the right tool selected and are on the right layer with the right settings....
