Hey Alliure, if I was to make my starter tato, is it ok if I make it a legitimate design?

moving still always irritated me since childhood, and I'd like a consistent design to work with is all. Especially if receiving art for them will require a ref as well as making said ref

by legitimate design, do you mean you would like to make a custom-lined, static reference?

if so, that would be completely fine !
however, you would still need to make a mutato via the process here and receive an animated version.
afterwards, if you wish to make a separate, static reference and use that exclusively, that's a-okay c:

yeah, like Y'know I draw the mutato and slap the design on it, but to fit the animation it would have to be hand done frame by frame
if you want I can draw the mutato as an example of what I mean and we can go from there lol

okay! ^^
still, you would need to make a design here on the oekaki (or use the psd if off-oekaki), so i can make an animated version.
afterwards, you can take part of the pattern (or redraw it) and draw your own mutato lines to make a static reference !

well idk if it's against species rules but I could hand draw the design in the animated lines if my design gets approved, but I'd need the lines psd...

i think i understand--though unfortunately--the official lines will not be distributed.

if you would like to draw your mutato's design straight onto a set of lines, i suggest you draw your own custom ones over the pattern on the oekaki/psd, and design from there. the reason why a pattern must be made is because in the event that this mutato is traded, the new owner may want an animated version, and i would need a pattern to make it from ^^

perhaps something like this, though the mutato would ideally be bigger cx

I totally understand that no worries, but yeah I could try something like that for the oekaki - y'know for the reaosn you mentioned, I doubt I'll ever give my bby up tho once I'm tied I'm attached to any bby I own forever I'm weak, but yah I'll pm you to discuss this further to not crowd the main page XD
