so i got my pen pressure working (hooray!) so i decided to try and draw a horse cx

obviously this is just a sketch, but how does it look so far?

edit; lines added. better? (cough, this will be a wme so that might be why the proportions are slightly different than a horse)

this lineart will be used for the 800 equid challenge, do not steal.
i would still like opinions as well ^^

Great looking sketch!<3 The proportions are spot on and the head sits well on the neck, though if you don't mind my friendly critique hehe I think the horse would look more refined if you gave the shoulders/chest a bit of edge instead of a circle-like shape c: The belly and back look great, though the topline above the rump should be slimmed down just a tiny bit in my opinion. The legs are nice overall, great job!<3 But the front leg could be slimmed down a little where it meets the shoulder/elbow, but yeah like I said it's a great looking sketch regardless<3

I found some handy guides that may help you. here and here. Personally, I would bring the girth down [just behind the front leg] as if it were to meet the chest underneath. I just imagine an invisible line through the front leg that is straight from the chest, to the girth. If the horse's leg is way way up, the girth as an indent, but that's not the case here.
