[The Lone Twin]

I know, it's not very good, but all I have to work with is my PC mouse, and I'm not very good to begin with...

This is a tribute to my sister, Lauren, who died on the 19th of this month. We were walking down the river that winds around our neighborhood and back to our house if you walk it straight. Well, Lauren and I were going down the river, and I was by the opposite bank, and she was over by a dead tree that had fallen in the river years before. She apparently slipped or the current sucked her under, but she got trapped under the log, and she couldn't get out on her own. I didn't see her fall, so I had no clue where she was. I walked further down thinking the river took her back that way, but when I couldn't find her I retraced my steps back to where we were when she went missing, and that's when I saw her. It took me like, 30 minutes to find her, and 10 or 15 more to get her out from under the log. By the time I managed to get her out, she was already gone.

This is her fursona, Kayla, living on happily in heaven. This didn't take me long, but that's because one, it's so simple, two, I didn't draw her entire body because the mouse was driving me nuts, and three, I'm lazy.

Thank you to my friend ~BrokenDreams~ and P u m p k i n q u e e n for talking to me when I needed it, and a special thanks to my best friend, ~Deadblaze~, if it weren't for you, I would've completely fallen apart.<3

Last of all, thank you Lauren for being such an amazing sister, and friend. I hope that you're happy where you are, and I hope that I'll get to see you one day when my life ends. Rest in peace little sis', I'll miss you for the rest of my life. :"(

Aww, this looks amazing, and I know Lauren would've loved it. She would've had a big smile on her face, and told you what an amazing job you did! You're keeping your head up, and you're carrying on with life. I'm proud of you Jase, and I know that if she could see you now, she would be too. I also will miss her until the day I join her up there, but life goes on. It's like she said "When one life is lost here, three more are gained somewhere else."

There's always new life, and there's always hope. You can choose to focus on the bad things, or you can focus on the bright side of it. She's happy now, and she won't struggle with life's pain anymore. I know that you feel like it's your fault, but it's not. It was just a freak accident that couldn't of been avoided. Even if you had seen her fall, the time it took you to get her out from under the log, it probably wouldn't have made a difference anyway. It's NOT your fault, you did everything you could, and I'm so proud of you. And so are your parents for trying. Just keep your head up Jase, things WILL get better. But only if you choose to make them better.

You'd be in the exact same place you are now! I was asleep the last couple days, and you were still carrying on despite the pain you're going through right now. You're not alone, and you'll never be alone. Don't forget there's someone up above you with your sister, always looking out for you, and is even more proud of you than I am. <3
