"Welcome to Crystal Paradise"
The voice is feminine, and comes from a lady behind a desk. She looks very professional, and has a hearing device in her ear. She touches it gently and speaks quietly into it, then looks at you again. "How may I help you?"
You are here for a home- but you hesitate to tell the lady that. You are different. Is there really a home out there for you? Looking at the lady, with her gazelle-like antlers and hears, and the hove-like fingers, you decide maybe there is. "Yes..I saw in this brochure that you can find homes for..even the halfbreeds?"
The lady smiled and nodded. "Yes, those we take most pleasure in. Which kind of home are you looking for?"
"Um.." You hesitate again, not quite sure. "One that...has people like me. That accept me." You say.
"Good." The gazelle lady paused to speak into the hearing piece again before replying further. "Go down the hall, take the first right, and go into the second door on the left. In there, you'll find the doorway to your new home." She smiled again, then went back to taking calls as she was doing before you walked up.
You nod. "Um, thank you." You say, then follow her directions through the maze of hallways. When you go into the door as instructed, you pause. Going through the door felt..odd. It had been cool in the building, but now it was pleasantly warm, like spring sunshine. You look up to see you are not in a room, but on a beach. Further down, there are what seems to be some people playing volley ball. Confused, you walk over. "Hello...can you help..." You trail off, noticing the two women playing volleyball were...odd. One was covered in soft brown fur and had huge ears, like a bats. What was even more astonishing was the large brown wings that were visible behind her. The other girl was less different. She appeared mostly human, but with small brown catlike ears and a tail, which waved behind her like the swaying of a branch in the breeze.
"Hello." The cat-girl said, her amber eyes bright and curious. "Who are-"
The bat-girl let out a strange hiss and stalked forward. "Claysa Maree, be polite." Her accent was very Jamaican, and her almond-shaped clear blue eyes were on you. "You are new, yes?"
You nod, unable to speak.
"Come on, Claysa Maree. Lets take this poor soul to the city." The bat-girl said, and the other one, apparently named Claysa Maree, started off toward the thick forest.
The bat girl kept her eyes on you for a moment. "I'm very sorry, dear. This must be strange. Here, come along. It will all make sense soon." She takes your hand and leads you after the other girl.
After a scary trip through the very green forest, which was apparently filled with many trails for walking, you break into a bright, large, open area. The first thing you notice is a extremely huge glass building in the dead center of the large clearing. Several small lakes dotted the area- it looked like a island paradise, except for the massive modern glass building in the center. The girls lead you toward it. It turns out that the glass building is a living-place for anthros- half human, half animal people. It's on a small island, which has white-sugar beaches and a thick, green forest. It's called Crystal Paradise, mostly named after the glass building, which shines like a crystal in the slightest light. Apparently, each resident gets a single-bedroom suite(there are two-bedroom ones available, for those who wish to live with a friend or sibling, or who have children, and they all have a small kitchen and living room) and a waiter assigned to them.
Put 'A home...' on your first post.
"Rules of Crystal Paradise"
No humans.
No fighting with other residents.
Please be kind to everyone.
Enjoy your stay!
Do not throw stones at the Crystal Building.
My Rules
No Mary/Gary sues.
No powerplaying.
If you're characters are going to 'do it', please first make sure it is okay with the other person(my PM or whatever), and you both put 'Fades to black' for awhile or something. No one wants to see that.
I don't care if you fight, despite what the Crystal Paradise rules state. But no perfect people, remember.
For every two girls you make, you must make one boy at least.
Please try to keep your characters within the 12-20 age range, though if you're character has a child or whatever, that's fine.
You HAVE to be an anthro. I don't care if it is only a little bit animal, or if it is almost completely animal. As long as it walks on two legs(unless your a centaur, then it would be four..) and has a few animal traits, we're golden.
You MUST type at least two sentences per post. No "jary walked around". You'll be asked to improve twice, then removed from the roleplay.
Add '..at last..' to your first post.
You MUST spell correctly, use proper grammar and punctuation, and show that you have some sense. The occasional error is acceptable, but if I notice you are making these mistakes to often, I will give you two warnings, then remove you from the roleplay.
"Here is a list of activities on Crystal Paradise"
Almost all activities on the island are outdoor. We encourage residents to spend as much time as possible outside. There are, however, indoor activities for those who prefer to be inside.
Outdoor Activities;
Many people enjoy swimming in one of the five lakes that surround the Glass Building. One of them is heated by a natural spring, and is very warm.
There is also the ocean to swim in. The waters are fairly warm year-round, though during winter they can get a little cold. Usually it isn't unswimmable, though.
The reefs just off the coast, which you can swim to(if you are a swimming creature) or take a short boat ride to, are filled with aquatic life. Great for scuba diving or snorkeling.
The beach is a great place for younger and older residents- from making sandcastles to going to one of the restaurant shacks(which are pretty much the only way of getting food, unless you hunt or order room service).
The forest is a great place for those anthros with jungle animals tinting their blood. It is stocked with prey animals for hunting and there are many treehouses built into the canopies. For those who are not good at jumping from tree to tree, climbing, or who just want to enjoy the view, there are ladders leading up to the treehouses and bridges that go from treehouse to treehouse. Be aware that the treehouses are not for permanent living, though camping for a few days is allowed.
The large, circular meadow that the Glass Building and lakes are in is grassy and filled with flowers and the occasional apple tree. It's a great place to just get away, or take a special friend.
Indoor Activities;
The lobby is a general hangout for some people. It has TVs and comfortable chairs, a few books to read. A nice place to relax if stressed.
The library is filled with thousands of books, from dictionaries to fantasies. There are soft bean bags and reading lamps for those who wish to sit and read.
The game room is just like a normal home game room, but larger. With a pool table, ping pong, checkers, chess, Wii, Playstation, and most other game systems, boards, and tables, there's something for everyone.
The green house is at the very top of the building. It is enormous, compared to most green houses, and has many, many breeds of plants. It is divided into sections- carnivorous plants, toxic plants(you are not allowed to touch these without gloves and must where a mask), and harmless plants.
