MAPLE ADAMSON
the silent defender Full Name: "Maple Adamson."Gender: "Female."District: "District Two."Age: "Eighteen."Personality: "Calm. Serious. Protective." Maple is a woman of few words. She is highly efficiency-oriented and finds prioritizing a central part of life, so unnecessary banter is something she simply does not engage in. Her expression remains stoic and solemn at all times. Neither anger, sorrow, fear, nor joy can be found upon her eternally calm demeanor. She does not let anything bother or distract her, and is a patient, strong shoulder to lean on in the most difficult of times. She is highly protective, and will defend her loved ones with her life. Her loyalty to her alliance will never waver.
Maple never jokes around, wastes time, or procrastinates. Quite the contrary, she is prompt and timely in the completion of any task. Unlike her sister Willow, Maple refuses to inflict unnecessary pain upon her enemies. She isn't quite like her brother Rowan, either. Maple will end a fight quickly, cleanly, and silently; never delaying it like Willow, and never including unnecessary preamble like Rowan. She is quite impersonal, and feels no need to hold grudges. She does not have time for that; she simply does not care enough to hate. She treats all opponents alike, and respects her enemies, but will never spare them. She fights with honor but no mercy, except at the very end when she has won.
Maple feels no need for elaborate revenge plots. She has her own systematic way of eliminating every adversary, and she is not biased towards one or the other. However, like any Adamson, Maple would never dream of betrayal. She is devoted to protecting her alliance, and will not allow it to be destroyed from within. Maple may not have much to say, but she has a lot to offer to the team, and she won't hold anything back. She is a Career, through and through, and will fight for her allies.
Appearance: Maple is the tallest of her family, standing at 6'2", and has the strongest build to match. She is muscular and highly athletic, with not a bit of fineness or softness about her. Her skin is much duskier than the rest of her family's complexions; the others are naturally a deep golden-tan in color, while Maple is far darker than even the Adamson average. Her black hair is rough and cropped, and not nearly as neat as Rowan's or Willow's. She has deep and solemn russet eyes, and no one has ever seen her smile. It's far more likely for her to be referred to as intimidating than pretty, and no one has ever called her that, but she neither cares nor wants to hear it.
Strengths: "Close combat." Maple is very strong with extremely high pain tolerance, and can easily take hits without flinching, making her excellent at defensive combat. Her endurance is also very high; she easily overpowers and outlasts the average tribute. Grace under pressure is also her specialty, and she's great at fighting with a spear or barehanded.
Weaknesses: "Speed and agility." Maple's is very inaccurate when she attempts to throw her spear, and cannot even consider other long-range methods. She cannot evade nor hide, preferring to fight head-on. She is a slow runner, preferring long-distance like her sister did, and Maple is below average when it comes to agility. Her offensive combat capacities are highly limited.
Weapon Of Choice: "Spear."Career Or Non-Career: "Career. Always."History: "... I decline." Maple was born to Gingko and Cedar Adamson. Her father was absent for much of her early life, due to his job as a Peacekeeper, but he has returned early. Maple, his third child and second daughter, was content at his return. Nowadays, Cedar is a 'mad scientist' at the Academy, and Gingko is the mayor of the district. Maple was the third of four children; the others, in order of age, are Rowan, Willow, and Olive. She will lead the Careers, as is the custom for District Two; Adamsons and Bries founded the alliance and are the backbone of the team.
The entire Adamson family has always dominated the Academy rankings, in fact, it was an Adamson who started the Academy in the first place. However, the family's tributes constantly fall just short of winning. The Adamsons have never given up, and they continuously send children away to fight. The hope is not only for victory. It's because kids of the Adamson family are born to fight. They train so they can be the best fighters possible, and then they volunteer when they are at their strongest. Every year, only the valedictorians are allowed to volunteer.
The Adamsons are proud that they have gone into the Games so many times, because even if they don't win often, at least they were able to protect the younger kids of the District from being forced to participate. It is a position of honor and glory.
Maple, this year's valedictorian, is no different. Like every Adamson who has gone into the Games, she has someone to protect... with her life.
Crush: "..." Leo Brie.
Interview Angle: "I never lied." Maple spoke as she normally did, using as few words as possible. If she could, she answered inquiries with an one-syllable response. Caesar made an extreme effort to glean information from her, and the Capitol was highly curious, but Maple was not one for banter. She simply answered the questions, and did not elaborate.
Other: "Thank you. Farewell." Maple has a rather gruff and menacing baritone voice. She scored 10 in training and placed 3rd. Some idiot Gamemakers thought it would be a good idea to interrupt their honorable fight by including disgusting insect mutts. Maple wishes to punish these delinquents; the mutts nearly ate her alive, and she barely managed to make it back to Adria and Leo. Adria ended up finishing her, proving the strength of the treaty.
CLAIR GRANT
the fearless adventurer Full Name: "Hi there! I'm Clair Grant, you must know my brother. I'm not the first and I'm not the last, either! Hope you're all peachy with that!"Gender: "I'm a girl!"District: "I come from District Four. My family always wishes we were in Two, but I like to make the best of our situation, 'cause our sushi is divine!"Age: "I'm sweet seventeen and never been kissed! Wait, that's not how it goes..."Personality: "Well, I'm a bit of a klutz, but I try to be nice. I hate seeing sad people, and I just want everyone to cheer up. I love everyone, seriously!" Clair has a boundless supply of energy. She is extremely hyperactive and never sits still, preferring to be on her feet all the time. She is ridiculously talkative, and highly motivated to make friends with others in her alliance.
Clair is also very optimistic and is absolutely sure she can accomplish anything with the right attitude and hard work. It is hard to offend her with even the most crude comments, and she just takes them in a lighthearted, joking manner. She is dreadfully investigative and inquisitive, to a reckless point. She doesn't know what death is like, but it's something she never experienced before so she's not afraid of it, just curious. Nothing can intimidate her, and she is always learning new things.
She's very interested in fighting, and gets excited over anything that involves action. She has no qualms about killing, but she isn't a cruel person, and does not engage in torturing her defeated opponents. She is very social and perky. If someone looks lonely in her alliance, she will never give up her efforts to make them feel included and needed. Clair just wants to befriend everyone.
Appearance: Clair is short and slender, standing at 5'0". She is highly athletic, and her slim build is stronger than it seems. In proportion to her body, her legs are long, excellent for chasing down enemies. She has freckles dotting her face, which has a younger appearance than her age, otherwise her skin is a slightly tanned tone. Her hair is extremely frizzy and sticks out everywhere. It's a shade of reddish auburn, which she thinks goes well with her wide hazel eye. She lost her left eye in a skirmish at the age of seven, but this doesn't bother her at all. The one-eyed girl isn't the most beautiful nor the ugliest, but she is very confident with her appearance, and remembers all compliments for a long time.
Strengths: "Oooh I'm excited to talk about these!" From ages of training with a rapier, Clair has grown agile and fast on her feet. She has great endurance and seems to never get tired, and fights with optimism and great faith in her alliance. Clair is quite strong at attacking, and is constantly on the front lines, slashing away loyally with her sword.
Weaknesses: "Okay, now for the boring part. Let's begin!" Clair has poor depth perception because she only has the use of one eye. This makes her inaccurate, and severely handicaps her ranged combat abilities, so she simply does not fight long-distance. Unfortunately, she gets carried away during fights sometimes, and accidental friendly-fire is an issue. She can hit hard, but she can't take a hit in return. She just lacks the strength to endure harsh blows.
Weapon Of Choice: "I like rapiers! I can swing them around and slice people up and I don't even have to aim!" Her parents recommended she train as a knife-thrower, but after she lost her eye, she had to take up a close-combat position. She likes it better.
Career Or Non-Career: "I'm a Career! Just like my brother, I love my team."History: "Well, um, Ed wasn't an only child. He just got adopted by the other side of the family; my mom gave him up because he had health problems when he was a baby, you see. I knew and so did Adam, but Ed didn't. He still thinks we're his cousins, because we... never got around to telling him before he... you know. Okay, this is way too depressing. Let's talk about something else!" Clair was the second child of Viola and Crimson Grant. She and her younger brother, Adam, were one day told they had an older brother; Ed was adopted by an aunt and uncle, and was given up because of health complications as an infant. Clair wanted to tell Ed, but she was not allowed to. The three siblings often played together, though Ed never knew Clair and Adam were his sister and brother.
Clair's parents would help in coaching the kids to become better fighters after school, though in a training accident, Clair's father ended up injuring her eye permanently. He never forgave himself, and both parents disappeared soon after. Clair and Adam moved in with Ed, ironically. Eleven years later, Ed died in the Hunger Games; it was too much of an ordeal for him to handle, and he ended up asking his ally to kill him. Many idiots in her district want her to get revenge on Leo Brie. Clair refuses. She really doesn't care for those Clark-supporting imbeciles anyway.
Crush: "Haha isn't it obvious? You're a silly one!" Theodore Cry. She tends to be a bit accidentally flirtatious, and sometimes her compliments sound like she's trying to hit on someone. Clair is just trying to be friendly... most of the time. Theodore Cry is another story.
Interview Angle: "Well, I just answered all the questions, and I was happy the whole time because I had no reason not to be." Clair was highly enthusiastic.
Other: "See you later!" Clair has a bright-sounding and melodic soprano voice. She can readily use it to give commands. She scored 9 in training and placed 6th. She and Maple engaged in a respectful fight with Adria, in which Clair was wounded. Maple asked Adria to flee before taking Clair back to the Careers' camp where Theodore killed her.
IDIOT ALLIANCE
the jerk, the meninist, the follower, and the pessimist Full Name: Sally Dell
Gender: Female
District: Eight
Age: Fifteen
Personality: Sally is just ridiculous. She is obnoxious, and does not have a filter on her mouth. She will say the first thing on her mind, which is often rude, and she will say it as loudly as possible. She literally thinks the world is her personal social network.
Appearance: Sally is the average height at 5'4", average weight, average everything. She isn't ugly nor pretty, and she is the very definition of normal. Her skin is pale, averagely so, and her hair and eyes are both a moderate, or average, shade of brown.
Strengths: Her vocal chords are... highly developed, let's just say that. She can hit almost world-record high notes when she tries to sing, and she is so loud it is painful to listen to. If you are deaf, though, Sally has no defense against you.
Weaknesses: Her voice is a weapon, but the rest of her is just... incompetent.
Weapon Of Choice: A mace, which she can't pick up.
History: She was singing at the reaping, and accidentally said the word 'volunteer,' so she had to go up on stage and take the other girl's place. She was pretty happy about it, though, because Sally loves stages. Oh, how she sang for the district...
Crush: Ally Hart, her fellow queen.
Interview Angle: Loud. Really, really loud.
Other: Sally has a ridiculously loud soprano voice. She scored 1 and placed 16th in the bloodbath. After witnessing Ally's death, she gave up and asked Theodore to kill her.
Full Name: Mitchell "Mitch" Redford
Gender: Male
District: Nine
Age: Twelve
Personality: Mitch freaks out all the time, and he is never calm. He is his own variety of misogynist. He insists that men can always cook, clean, and sew better than
all girls, and he will never stop bragging about his sewing skills. He is the kind of person who would make District Two boys (who are legitimate cooks) run away in disgust and horror of his stupidity. He is incredibly rude, and won't shut up, ever. He doesn't get scared even when a Career's in his face.
Appearance: Mitch is extremely short and skinny at 4'8", with scraggly red hair and dull brown eyes. And by dull, his eyes seem to have no light because he's so stupid.
Strengths: He can actually knit decently, he's a tiny bit right.
Weaknesses: He sucks at everything.
Weapon Of Choice: A slingshot, he wants to prove that boys can use long-range weapons, but he always slaps himself in the face with it.
History: He was reaped, and everyone just cheered.
Crush: Mortimer Monroe.
Interview Angle: He was sexist, claiming that no girl had the ability to cook and clean, and boasting of his world-renowned sewing skills...
Other: Mitchell has a ridiculously high soprano voice. He scored 1 and ended up placing 18th, killed by Naomi in the bloodbath. Mitchell needed to learn that tent poles are not good weapons.
Full Name: Frank Owens
Gender: Male
District: Ten
Age: Sixteen
Personality: There isn't much to say about Frank, except that he is a follower. If you tell him to do something, he will do it, even if you tell him to jump off a cliff. He is more blindly loyal than anything, and refers to his Idiot Alliance leaders as his 'masters.'
Appearance: Frank is tall and thin at 6'1", but in a way that makes him look like a daddy longlegs. He has dirty blonde hair and grey eyes, and by dirty blonde hair, it's actually dirty, not just a color. He is highly unattractive but he will admit it if someone tells him to.
Strengths: Well, if you tell him to protect you, you've basically got a human shield.
Weaknesses: He just doesn't have a mind of his own, and he sucks at everything.
Weapon Of Choice: A sword, he can pick it up, but he can't use it.
History: He volunteered because someone really hated him, knew his weakness, and told him that he needed to volunteer.
Crush: Bella Hadley. He will love her unconditionally.
Interview Angle: He answered all the questions in extreme, extreme detail, and didn't stop until Caesar said to. He was like a program in an infinite loop.
Other: Frank has a rather nonthreatening tenor voice. He scored 1 and placed 19th, killed by Cedric in the bloodbath. Seriously, Frank got in the way yet again.
Full Name: Mortimer Monroe
Gender: Male
District: Eleven
Age: Seventeen
Personality: Mortimer is very aware of his mortality, and this makes him a crybaby. He is always whining about how he's going to die in the Hunger Games, but he wants to take people down with him. He is a pessimist who never looks on the bright side.
Appearance: Mortimer is the average height and weight at 5'10", and he is very boring to look at, except for his fiery red hair. His eyes are dull hazel and aren't so interesting, but most people who look at him only look at that head of ridiculous, spiky hair.
Strengths: He's not afraid to die.
Weaknesses: He's a pessimist because he actually sucks. At everything.
Weapon Of Choice: A spear, he sucks at it though. He thinks he's good.
History: He was reaped and didn't really care. Nobody else cared either. District Eleven has a big population and they really couldn't care less.
Crush: None. He doesn't care.
Interview Angle: He was bored and didn't really care about anything. He whined about the Careers though, and freaked out about how he wanted to kill them. Good luck, idiot.
Other: Mortimer has an annoyingly husky-sounding bass voice. He scored a measly 1 and placed 24th in the bloodbath, last place because he got in Maple's way.
