It's a game of hide and seek. The only rule is, hide or die. If you don't hide, it will find you, and you will die. You've been picked off yourworld, teleported to this deadly game. You find yourself in a forest and have a backpack with an object in it, the shape of a tree, a leaf, a stick, a stone, a sparrow, a squirrel, a common fleabane and a woodmouse. It's autumn in the forest, and it stays that way forever. Find food, water, shelter, whatever you need to survive. But your most powerful weapon is that object, which transforms you into the given shape. The seeker gives off a decaying smell for a kilometer, use the object to hide before it sees you. Oh, and one more thing. The seeker is death.

➳ Tess' rule supply Most definitely read them if you haven't.
➳ Be realistic An obvious rule for those of you who are joining. You cannot have powers other than the object you have been given, and for the sparrow, you can only fly if you have shifted into your animal form. Everything realistic in here please.
➳ The owners They are Asherwy and [fool-of-a-took](Co-owner). Asherwy is the owner of this roleplay and will assign mods if needed.
➳ Literacy This is a moderate semi-lit roleplay, which means 5+ lines of well thought out sentences with an understandable amount of detail for each post. As for your form, please make your own. Be sure to include name, age, gender, rank, appearance, object given and something your character yearns/desires most. Personality/history is optional, although I would appreciate it if you could include these in your forms, which has a higher guarantee of acceptance. Also, pm me your form before posting on the thread so I can accept privately.
➳ Content Appropriate content please, this is a family friendly website so describe a limited amount of blood and don't go full on in detail about gore.
➳ OOC Do not spam, fight, or randomly post here because you feel like it in OOC. I do not want to hear any cussing/swearing either, it is extremely annoying and it disrupts the thread.
➳ Modding Do not mod, god-mod or powerplay. This is equal to insta-ban if you have already gotten one warning. Modding=Correcting other players about the rules(PM me if you see any rule breakers and also quote the post). God-modding=Having a perfect character, your character must have flaws. Powerplaying=Playing other player's characters without permission.
➳ PMing Please pm me if you have any questions, if I'm not on then feel free to pm other players in the thread or just post your question on the actual thread. 〈 Warning System 〉
This warning system will keep track of all the warnings that players have gotten. Each rule broken will earn one warning(Max.3), however, as mentioned in the 'Modding' rule, you will receive an insta-ban in you have at least one warning. Once a player has had 3 warnings, that player will be banned from the thread and will not be allowed to return. Hopefully there won't be any warnings or bans in the thread :3.

〈 About Charms 〉

These little objects that are given to the eight chosen hosts have life. They will respond to the words that the host recites and allows the host to shift into the given shape or carving on the charm. They have a living presence that can be felt by other nearby charms, and they will vibrate if all charms are close together. When a host dies, the charm breaks in half and all the other charms release a shrill screech that lasts for 3 seconds. This gives the seeker an idea of where the host is.

〈 About Death 〉

Death is the seeker, it has managed to escape it's bonds of duty and created a deadly game. Everytime a game of hide and seek finishes, the map will immediately reset and the game will randomly pick 8 humans from earth between the ages of 10 and 20. Now here's the part about Death itself. Death will give of a stench of a decaying corpse that can be smelt for a kilometer. Death is a black fog that wanders the map, where ever it drifts it leaves a trail of well, death. There have been 99 games of hide and seek so far, and 792 adolescents have deceased, literally wiped off the face of the earth. And once Death finds you, it engulfs you in his suffocating black fog, removes your soul from your body and shows you what you desire and yearn for most, then replaces it with a bloody grin, wide and true. After that, it incinerates your soul and your body evaporates. But then, you become part of the forest as the charm's shift, forever watching other players die. This is the 100th game. And there is a way to return Death to its bonds of duty. You just need to figure it out before you die.

The tree shifter, the object given to the host is this necklace in which the host must wear in order to be able to shift into the given shape. To shift into a tree, the host must recite these words: "Gentle soul of mother nature, my heart yearns for your protection." The tree shifter's backpack offers a 10 meter long rope, a watering can and a bow with a quiver that holds 8 arrows and one rotten arrow.

The leaf shifter, the object given to the host is this bracelet in which the host must wear in order to be able to shift into the given shape. To shift into a leaf, the host must recite these words: "Fragile lace of flora, please cover me with your grace." The leaf shifter's backpack offers a 4 meter by meter quilt decorated with leaves, a clay jar with a lid and a hatchet with 8 white lines its handle, but one black on on the bottom.

The stick shifter, the object given to the host is this cane in which the host must equip in order to be able to shift into the given shape. To shift into a stick, the host must recite these words: "Weak weapon of trees, let me use your rough kindness." The stick shifter's backpack offers a telescope, a thin, 1 meter hollow bamboo container and a bronze dagger with numbers one to eight in roman numerals, but on the handle the roman numeral for zero is engraved roughly.

The stone shifter, the object given to the host is this earring in which the host must wear in order to be able to shift into the given shape. To shift into a stone, the host must recite these words: "Protective spirit of nature, I beg for your barrier to be built upon me." The stone shifter's backpack offers a grey sleeping bag, circular light grey water bottle and a slingshot with a pouch that holds 8 smoothed out pebbles, but with one charred wooden ball.

hi there. i'm gabriel vincent whitby, but you can call me gabe. actually, some people call me vinny, but i prefer gabe. i'm not picky, though, so you can pretty much call me anything. i've been called a lot of things in my life, so a lot of the nicknames people make up don't phase me, but kudos to you if you can make up one that i've never heard. however, i don't like being called gabriel, but that's just for personal reasons. i'm pleased to meet you. for a little about me, well, i'm a twenty year old and i was born on september twentieth, but i don't really celebrate my birthday. it's not that i don't enjoy birthday parties - i actually really like them - but i have more important things to worry about. if you're young, then you probably wouldn't understand, but the older you get, the less those things matter, y'know? but there i go again, talking about myself as though i'm an old man. so anyway, if you couldn't tell, i'm a boy... man... male... whatever. i've never had anyone ask my gender before - i always thought it was pretty obvious. has my voice suddenly become less deep? ha. now, in regards to what i like to do, well, i'm your average guy, nothing special, and i like to spend time with my family. my family is everything to me. in my free time, i guess i enjoy being on the internet and gaming - world of warcraft is pretty awesome, so i'm a bit addicted to that. just a bit. i also like japanese anime and manga. hm. maybe i'm not as normal as i thought i was. even at my young age, i'm married and we have one little girl. i think i'm straight, sexual orientation-wise. appearance-wise, i'm pretty average. i have messy brown hair, so messy that i keep it in check by cutting it short. i've got hazel eyes and a fair skin tone. i'm tall and slim, but well muscled because i used to play soccer when i was younger. and my personality... well, i just try to do the right thing, and i try to be nice to people. i'm known to be a problem solver and a quick thinker, and i'm also very street smart because of my past. i also have a bit of a sly side and i'm naturally a bit suspicious, and also fairly good with gauging personalities. i guess i'm pretty smart. i'm known to come off as a bit cocky and sarcastic, but i just like annoying people a bit. i'm very passionate in what i believe in, so you won't change my mind about anything quickly. i'm stubborn and loyal, and i'm also known to be an ideal leader. however, even though i've changed now, i am by no means a goody-two-shoes. i'm street smart because i don't have a very good past. my father abused my mother until the day he left us alone. me, my mom, and my siblings were left moneyless. i was in high school at the time, so i did anything that i could to get enough money to help out my mom. when my mother was sick one day and unable to work, i took on every dare that anyone threw at me just to get enough money. that was when i fell into temptation. the last dare was to chug some beer, and once that happened, it was hard to come back. i became a delinquent, doing anything that i could to get another drink, to get more drugs. then, when i was only sixteen, i ended up getting a girl pregnant. i was a child having a child, to put it bluntly, but marianne, my daughter, saved my life, and so did my wife elizabeth. when i saw marianne's sweet face i wanted to change. it was hard, but with the help of my family, i began to, slowly but surely. i got married, went to college and decided that i wanted to become a teacher. life was going good... until this happened. i was dropped in some freaky forest and i'm expected to survive. actually, now that i think about it, i'm probably expected to die. i have an anklet with a squirrel on it, a hat, a wine skin, a machete, and some rope, and even if i don't know how to do it, i have to try anything to get back to my family. anything.

Alexander, or as he likes to be called, Xander, is your typical 18-year-old "big brother" sort of character. With lighter-brown hair, muscles from farmwork that he honestly feels stick out too much, and blue eyes, he's a fairly decent-looking sort of guy. He's way too trusting, and this leaves a huge weak spot. With the right set of words, you can easily take him down. After spending his whole life on a farm, Alexander is a huge promoter of teamwork and leadership, and doesn't abandon anyone easily. Stubbornness is another issue of his, as he won't give up on anyone or anything.
Back on his family farm, he used to live with his Mother, Father, and sister. When he was around 16, his sister caught a disease from nothing other than a mouse she came across in the barn. After 2 months of fighting the illness, she passed away. The wounds are still fresh, but he's managed to cope. His sister's death also left a new fear of all rodents, one that he can't get over no matter how he tries.
