The Cycle
ONLY ACCEPTING SUNSTREAK CLAN!
The more dragons there are, the less food there is to go around. The less food there is, the hungrier the dragons get. The hungrier the dragons are, the more they fight over food. Can anything stop this vicious cycle before it's to late?
Deep in the western forest, dragons dwell. They live in two separate clans that are similar to wolf packs. The dragons of both clans prospered and were on friendly terms until there were so many dragons that there wasn't enough prey to go around.The clans have been constantly fighting over the scarce prey for many years. More and more dragons are dieing, of starvation and also from being killed in the huge fights. If someone doesn't stop the fighting soon, all the dragons will be killed. Unfortunately, the fighting has been going on so long that few dragons haven't lost a loved one. Many chicks have been orphaned, and many mates have lost the love of their lives. It will take very unique dragons of both clans to save them all.
However, even though their fate seems sealed, in many ways life goes on. Neither love nor hope has died despite everything that has happened.
Rules
1. You can't be any species other than a dragon. All types of dragons are fine, and full-grown dragons may be anywhere between 15 ft and 20 ft tall.
2. There can be up to 3 eggs in a dragon clutch.
3. Dragons mate for life, unless their mate dies.
4. Please write complete sentences, with proper punctuation. No chat-speak please!
5. Please use ((_)) [[_]] or {{_}} when you're speaking out of character.
6. Romance is encouraged, but for the love of Chicken Smoothie keep it appropriate!!!
7. There is a two-character limit... unless your dragon has chicks later on. The chicks can bee divided up between the two RPers however they decide.
8. If the clans/genders aren't even, I may decide to only accept whatever type is lacking. I'll put something like "Only accepting male characters" at the top of this page. Currently there is a 2:5 Gender ration, and a 5:2 Clan ratio.
9. Side plots are great, they make the story more realistic, and more fun. However, sometimes ridiculous ones can ruin an RP for good. Here are two examples:
((Good)) Lifer leaned down and nudged the egg. Where had it come from? She didn't want to leave it alone out here in the woods! It must be from the other clan. She thought worriedly. But no chick deserves to die without having a chance to live! She scooped it up carefully in her claws and flew it back to the clearing, wondering what the others would say.
This is good because there is lot of room for RPing and it makes sense in this RP. Also, it doesn't sidetrack the main plot to much.
((Bad)) Suddenly a loud voice boomed through the clearing. "The chosen one is Lifer! She will rule both of the clans for all eternity!!!" Lifer launched into the air and roared loudly. She set the clearing on fire and laughed loudly as everyone was trapped.
Do I even need to say why this is the "bad" example? I hope not!
10. There is a time for both short posts and long ones. If you're having a conversion it's OK to keep it short, but otherwise try to write a descent amount.
